PURPOSE OF THE JOB -
Responsible for realizing sales and give technical support in India for BFT applications - Filtration HRT, CS & NBD. Manage the sales and sales support and the day-to-day commercial relationship with the clients. Propose & implement the X+1/X+3-targets within India for all BFT products or a specified product group.
Main Responsibilities -
1. Responsible for realizing sales in India for BFT applications.
- Manage the day-to-day commercial relationship with the client and work on the \'lock in\' of the customers (commercial relationship comprising the relationship itself but also as technical support, after sales service, sales administration, laims, accounts payable, ).
- Negotiate and conclude on a periodical basis on product mix, volumes, and prices with the existing clients
- Approach the targeted prospects in order to further develop the client portfolio.
- Makes sales reports for all visits or important telecons/ video cons with clear indications of requested actions.
- Follow up the daily operations with the customers in order to reach the mutual targets volumes, prices, accounts receivable,
- Initiate corrective actions, if necessary, in order to reach maximum customer satisfaction at minimum cost
2. Propose, develop, implement & follow up regional sales objectives (X+1) in line with the global product / market strategy
- Collect all necessary information on volumes, product mix, prices, margins, for the yearly X+1
- Make up and present a motivated and detailed X+1 for the own sales region
- Provide accurate sales forecasts & a permanent follow up on the results
- Take all necessary actions to achievethe forecasted results
3. Gather and distribute all relevant information on the customers, the market, the competitors, in order to contribute to the global market & product strategy (X+3)
- Market Intelligence
- Follow up the market trends (competitors, market share, interesting prospects, product & technological developments,)
- Provide and maintain a regional supply/demand overview
- Visit customers ( Basic/ standard/ Premium ) and provide strategic view taking the ranking into account
- Distribute immediately all important facts, figures, that maybe important for the Bekaert business
- Support the product market manager with the make up of the X+3-plan, development priorities,
4. Responsible for technical support towards customers
- Well understand the technical properties of the BFT products and their performances in the different segments
- Understanding the basic and latent needs of the customers.
- Translate the technical requirements of the customer into product requirements
- Collaborate with R&D department to ensure the right product for the right application
- Educate the customers into the correct use and application of the BFT products in their operations
5. Manage the own sales organization
- Roll out the X+1-plan and targets and translate them to individual sales targets and action plans.
- Accompanies sales forces regularly on visits to customers.
- Follow up & steer the results of the different agents. Assure the continuous development, coaching and performance management
of these people.
- Stimulate the 2-way communication in order to provide the MM within BFT with all important market information.
5. Ensure a marketing communication which is aligned with and supports the sales activities
- Initiate the necessary marketing actions (fairs, brochures, mailings,publications ) in line with the corporate guidelines (e.g. print) and the local sales action plans.
- Follow up the marketing campaigns/actions in order to determine the effectiveness on the sales results
- Follow up the budget of the marketing activities.
- Build brand via exhibitions, seminars and educational institutions.
6. Spot, analyze and develop new application/markets
- Stay up to date of new development and new applications where our technology is/could be used.
- Make ground and sound analysis of the spotted application to define the potential of this new market for BFT.
- On defined application in accordance with MM, develop the right answer in close collaboration with R&D and/or engineering, follow up the implementation of the defined solution in the market and help developing the sales approach in such applications.
V. CONTEXT DESCRIPTION & DIMENSIONS
- Responsible for BFT sales (Filtration, HRT, CS & NBD )
- Total annual sales in his/her area reach 2-4 Million Euro
- Customers ranging from over 100 k Euro to a couple of thousand Euros per year.
- Number of subordinates : one internal sales
- Functionally reporting to both Global Product Market Managers Filtration, CS & Textiles. Hierarchical reporting to Market Manager
VI. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- 5+ years technical sales and account management experience.
- Business, technical, or engineering degree preferred
- Deep experience with value-added products and solutions selling in industrial markets
- Experience in the glass industry is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong drive to defend and grow the business
- Strong negotiations and communication skills
- Highly capable of trust and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
- Must exhibit competitiveness, a high drive to win, resiliency, and the need to interact with and influence others.
- Proven technical aptitude and innate ability to question, listen and understanding requirements.
- Strong computer skills, experienced in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, CRM.
- Willingness to learn and take on multiple tasks.
- Ready to travel a lot
- Having a good understanding of global business strategies.
