Develop Comprehensive PR Plans: Create and manage marketing communications plans, including strategy, goals, budget, and tactical approaches.
Media Relations Strategy: Develop strategies for media relations, targeting high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media.
Public Relations Activities: Coordinate all public relations activities to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging.
Social Media Management: Direct the social media team to engage audiences across traditional and new media platforms.
Media Relationships: Leverage existing media relationships and build new contacts within business and industry media.
Media Inquiries and Interviews: Manage media inquiries and facilitate interview requests.
Content Creation: Write and edit content for press releases, byline articles, and keynote presentations.
Monitor and Analyze PR Results: Track, analyze, and report PR outcomes on a quarterly basis.
Partnerships and Sponsorships: Evaluate and pursue opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an ongoing basis.
Industry Awareness: Build relationships with thought leaders to enhance industry visibility.
Industry Trends: Stay informed about industry trends affecting clients and provide strategic communication recommendations.
Requirements and Skills
Experience: Proven working experience in public relations.
Successful Campaigns: Demonstrated success in designing and executing public relations campaigns at both local and national levels.
Media Relationships: Strong connections with local and national business and industry media outlets.
Spokesperson Skills: Experienced and comfortable acting as a company spokesperson, skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews.
Writing and Editing: Exceptional writing and editing skills.
Social Media Proficiency: Solid experience with social media platforms including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Event Planning: Experience in planning and coordinating events.
Education: BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related discipline.
