About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead the marketing efforts for the launch of our new open-access journals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in academic publishing, digital marketing, and branding. They will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote the journal, increase its visibility, and attract both authors and readers.

Role Responsibilities:

  • In association with Journal Manager, develop and execute a strategic marketing plan for the launch of the open-access journal.
  • Create and manage digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and online advertising, to reach the target audience.
  • Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, researchers, and relevant organizations to promote the journal.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to identify and engage potential authors and contributors.
  • Manage the journal\'s website, ensuring it is user-friendly and up-to-date with the latest content.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to measure the success of marketing initiatives.
  • Identify and implement SEO strategies to improve the journal\'s online discoverability.
  • Collaborate with designers and content creators to develop marketing materials, such as promotional videos, graphics, and newsletters.
  • Coordinate with peer-reviewed journals and databases for indexing and inclusion.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, open-access publishing best practices, and competitor activities.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor\'s / Master\'s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Years of Experience: 6- 12 years

Place of Work: 1201/1301, Building No. 5 (R3), Gera Commerzone, Kharadi, Pune (Working in Hybrid Model)

Essential:
  • Proven experience in marketing for academic publishing or similar industries.
  • Strong understanding of open-access publishing models and the academic publishing landscape.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired:
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed marketing decisions.
  • Knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with academic and scholarly communities is a plus
