A head of marketing is a senior-level manager who leads a marketing department and is responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategies. Some of their responsibilities include:
• Developing marketing strategy : Creating a strategy to achieve business objectives, and adjusting it based on market research and analysis
• Managing budgets : Preparing and managing marketing budgets, and reporting on them
• Leading the team : Motivating and leading the marketing team, and providing guidance and development opportunities
• Managing agencies : Overseeing the performance of agencies that work on content and digital marketing
• Working with stakeholders : Ensuring that stakeholders understand and buy into future marketing campaigns
• Building brand identity : Advising on the development of the corporate brand, and creating a strong brand message across all channels
• Analyzing competitors : Monitoring and analyzing competitors, and identifying new business opportunities
• Analyzing consumer behavior : Analyzing consumer behavior and customer personas
• Coordinating with sales : Liaising with sales teams to coordinate efforts and build brand awareness
• Planning and executing company objectives : Planning and executing company objectives for each year
