Responsibilities:
• Customer Acquisition:
• Identify and pursue potential new customers in the logistics and transportation industry.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
• Visit client offices to introduce the company's services and discuss potential business opportunities.
• Sales and Quote Management:
• Collect customer requirements and provide tailored quotations for services based on their needs.
• Ensure timely follow-ups and conversion of leads into successful partnerships.
• Coordination with Business Development Manager:
• Work closely with the Business Development (BD) Manager to understand market trends and customer needs.
• Take leads from the BD manager and assist in developing strategies to convert those leads into customers.
• Lead Generation:
• Identify new leads and opportunities within the logistics and transportation industry.
• Conduct market research to spot trends and potential areas of growth.
• Business Growth:
• Contribute to the overall growth of the logistics business by targeting new sectors, expanding current partnerships, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Develop strategies to increase the customer base and retain existing clients.
• Reporting & Feedback:
• Provide regular reports on sales activities, lead status, and business development initiatives.
• Offer feedback on customer needs and competitor activities to the BD manager for market positioning.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in marketing, sales, or business development, preferably in the logistics and transportation industry.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to identify and understand customer needs, and translate them into actionable solutions.
• Self-driven, proactive, and goal-oriented with a passion for growing business opportunities.
• Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits and meetings.
