Purpose:
Responsible for developing leisure marketing opportunities and managing leisure market campaigns.
To assist in achieving budget room night goals within the leisure and corporate/leisure related markets for the hotel through the strategic implementation of effective marketing activities.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
\xc2\xa7 Development of a Marketing Plan aimed at stimulating business from the domestic leisure market specifically.
\xc2\xa7 Responsible for campaign and project management of all media placements.
\xc2\xa7 Source opportunities for inclusion of the hotel on major clients\xe2\x80\x99 intranet sites to stimulate leisure business.
\xc2\xa7 Management and evolutionary development of the hotel brochures, printed material, advertisements, documents and promotional material.
\xc2\xa7 Increasing brand awareness within all market segments.
\xc2\xa7 Management of online marketing activities and research of all new accommodation websites for the hotels inclusion; ensuring competitiveness in both availability and price.
\xc2\xa7 Source marketing opportunities with the various travel websites.
\xc2\xa7 Make recommendations to revenue management on competitive pricing on an as needed basis.
\xc2\xa7 Development of our past guest database to be utilised in targeted email/mailing programs.
\xc2\xa7 Continual exploration and implementation of leisure marketing opportunities which will drive business into the hotel, with particular emphasis on third party promotions.
\xc2\xa7 Preparation of weekly report.
\xc2\xa7 Undertake site inspections and/or entertainment of clients, as appropriate.
\xc2\xa7 Participate in weekly sales meeting and other unscheduled meetings, as required.
\xc2\xa7 Actively participate in the compilation of the annual business plan for Sales and Marketing and any other reports requested.
\xc2\xa7 Represent the hotel/brand at relevant industry events.
\xc2\xa7 Ensure thorough understanding of all the brand sales and marketing programs.

Adheres to hotel policies and procedures:

\xc2\xa7 Follows hotel grooming, hygiene and dress standards.
\xc2\xa7 Minimise safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
\xc2\xa7 Refrain from personal conversations with other employees at the main entrance.
\xc2\xa7 Keeps immediate manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
\xc2\xa7 Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
\xc2\xa7 Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote co-operative and harmonious working climate.
\xc2\xa7 At all-time projects a favourable image of the hotel to the public.
REQUIREMENTS
\xc2\xa7 Minimum one - three years hotel marketing experience
\xc2\xa7 Local market knowledge preferred
\xc2\xa7 High school diploma required, bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred
\xc2\xa7 Experience managing to brand standards
\xc2\xa7 Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
\xc2\xa7 Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
\xc2\xa7 Strong verbal and written communication skills
\xc2\xa7 Strong negotiation skills
\xc2\xa7 Ability to travel
