: Sales and Marketing officer- Travel Agency
Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and motivated Sales and Marketing officer to join our team at Arooha Travel and Tourism The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to promote our travel services, generate leads, and increase bookings. This position requires a strong understanding of the travel industry, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric approach to growing our brand and customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Business Development:
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including corporate clients, group bookings, and individual travelers.
Develop and execute effective sales strategies to increase revenue and customer loyalty.
Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, and direct customers.
Conduct consultations with clients to understand their travel needs and recommend tailored packages.
Negotiate pricing and service terms with clients to close deals and secure bookings.
Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to promote the agency's services and attract new clients.
2. Marketing Strategy and Campaigns:
Plan and implement marketing campaigns to promote travel packages, seasonal offers, and special promotions across various channels (digital, print, social media, email, etc.).
Create engaging content for the website, blog, social media platforms, and other marketing materials to enhance brand visibility.
Coordinate with travel influencers, bloggers, or media outlets for promotional collaborations.
Optimize marketing efforts based on data and performance metrics (e.g., engagement rates, lead conversions).
Design and distribute email newsletters to customers with travel deals, tips, and company updates.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain a customer database to enhance lead nurturing and increase repeat bookings.
Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Follow up with leads and past customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Gather customer feedback and reviews to improve services and build long-term relationships.
4. Lead Generation and Market Research:
Conduct market research to identify trends, new destinations, and competitive offerings.
Generate leads through various methods, including cold calls, referrals, digital marketing efforts, and partnerships with other travel-related businesses.
Qualify leads and pass on high-potential prospects to the sales team or directly manage smaller accounts.
5. Sales Reporting and Analytics:
Monitor sales performance, including booking volume, revenue generation, and customer satisfaction metrics.
Track the performance of marketing campaigns and make adjustments to improve outcomes.
Prepare regular reports on sales and marketing activities, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
6. Promotions and Event Management:
Organize promotional events, such as travel fairs, webinars, or in-store promotions, to increase brand exposure and attract new customers.
Coordinate special offers and seasonal promotions (e.g., discounted packages, loyalty programs, group travel discounts) to drive bookings.
7. Collaboration and Team Support:
Collaborate with the operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth booking experiences for clients.
Work closely with senior management to refine sales and marketing strategies and meet overall business objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the travel or tourism industry.
