Position Summary:

A Market Research Intern typically supports the market research team in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to help a company better understand its target audience, competition, and market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection:

• Assist in gathering market data from various primary and secondary sources, including surveys, interviews, reports, and online databases.
• Help design and distribute surveys and questionnaires.

Data Analysis:

• Compile, clean, and analyze data using statistical software or tools like Excel, SPSS, or R.
• Interpret quantitative and qualitative data to uncover market trends and consumer preferences.

Report Preparation:

• Assist in preparing reports, charts, and presentations that summarize research findings.
• Present insights to supervisors and stakeholders to inform business strategies.

Competitor Analysis:

• Help assess the company's competitive landscape by tracking competitors' activities, products, pricing, and market position.
• Compile comparative studies to identify potential market gaps or opportunities.

Industry Research:

• Research industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements that may affect the company's business model.
• Stay updated with current market dynamics to help provide informed recommendations.

Support Market Strategy:

• Collaborate with marketing, product development, and business development teams to provide data-driven recommendations.
• Assist in testing new products or marketing strategies through focus groups or trial programs.

Required Skills:

Analytical Thinking:

• Ability to interpret and analyze large sets of data, with attention to detail.

Research Skills:
