Over two decades, this center has expanded its capability and scope beyond Engineering and is organized into three major areas of responsibility: Hardware, Software, and Operations. One of the major functional groups of this entity is LIGO (Lam India Global Operations). Within LIGO, manufacturing engineering, cost performance engineering, supply chain and logistics, spares operations and planning, order fulfilment, inventory management, and supplier QA engineering functions work collaboratively to deliver best in class solutions for Lam's global operations.This position will be based out of Bangalore, directly reporting into the leader of LIGO High-Volume Manufacturing Engineering (HVME) team and will be closely working with Global Manufacturing sites. This role is responsible for leading a team of Manufacturing Engineers at LIGO HVME working collaboratively with engineering teams across geographies ensuring manufacturing readiness for Lam products and resolving build issues to ensure a flawless build. We are in constant pursuit of manufacturing excellence through continuous improvements and innovations.Join the Lam Research team, where you can play a vital role in the future of electronics and write your own success story.Eligibility Criteria:Educational qualification: Master's / Bachelor's in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Production / Industrial EngineeringExperience: 8-12 years of relevant industry experience with exposure in managerial rolePrimary Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and manage a group of 8-12 Manufacturing engineers with diversified experience at Lam India performing build support and launch readiness activities for deposition, etch and clean products built at multiple Lam manufacturing sites
  • Accountable for the quality of work instructions, timeliness of launch readiness activities and responsiveness to build issues, and point of contact for any escalations.
  • Interact with counterparts regarding workflow, prioritization, reporting out and resource management
  • Responsible for department functions including staffing, training, budget management communication, PMD (Performance Management & Development), coaching and mentoring to improve overall department effectiveness and growth
  • Drive strategic vision and roadmap for the team in alignment with global stakeholders.
  • Work with leadership peers to drive process improvements
Mandatory skills and experiences required to perform the job:
  • Minimum 2 years of prior experience in managing direct reports, hiring and assimilation, performance management and development of engineers with diversified experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in process planning, work instructions and line/launch readiness activities for assembly line
  • Experience of working with cross-disciplinary teams (including manufacturing, testing, production planning and industrial engineering) across global manufacturing sites
  • Demonstrated leadership skill in decision making and problem solving in planning, roadmap implementation and change management with minimal supervision
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in manufacturing shop floor, optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge, preferably a Black Belt
  • Knowledge on Semiconductor equipment and its assembly process
  • Exposure to Project Management tools and techniques, MS Project, and Gantt charts
  • Knowledge of DFX process (Design for Manufacturability, Cost, Assembly and Serviceability)
  • Experience in virtual manufacturing/build
  • Experience in Teamcenter Engineering and Opcenter (Siemens)
  • Experience in SAP (ERP)
