1. Overview:This role is for a Manual Tester specializing in the Banking domain, with a focus on Loan Management Systems (LMS) and Loan Origination Systems (LOS). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing manual test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of banking software applications. The objective is to identify and report defects, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, stable software releases.2. Key Responsibilities:Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and test data.Execute manual test cases and document test results.Report and track defects using a defect tracking system.Participate in test planning, estimation, and execution.Collaborate with developers and other team members to resolve defects.Identify and document test scenarios based on understanding of the banking domain (LMS & LOS).Participate in test case reviews and walkthroughs.Contribute to test strategy and test planning activities.Maintain accurate and comprehensive test documentation.Work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.3. Technical Skills:Proficient in manual testing methodologies (e.g., black-box testing, white-box testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing).Experience with test case management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).Strong understanding of SQL and database concepts.Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Experience working in an Agile environment.4. Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in manual testing.Proven experience in testing Banking domain applications, specifically LMS and LOS.5. Skills & Experience:Manual Testing: Extensive experience in designing, developing, and executing manual test cases, including functional, integration, regression, and system testing. Experience with test data creation and management is crucial.LMS (Loan Management System): Demonstrated understanding of the functionality and processes within a Loan Management System, including loan origination, servicing, and collection.LOS (Loan Origination System): Solid experience in testing the various stages of the loan origination process within an LOS, including application processing, underwriting, and loan closing.Retail Banking: Understanding of retail banking products and processes, including personal loans, mortgages, and credit cards.Corporate Banking: Familiarity with corporate banking products and processes, including commercial loans and lines of credit is a plus.Finance: A strong foundational understanding of financial concepts and terminology relevant to lending is essential. This includes an understanding of loan terms, interest calculations, and repayment schedules.
