Job brief: The Jewelry Designer is responsible for creating unique and visually appealing jewelry designs that meet client requirements and market demands. This role involves conceptualizing designs, creating sketches and technical drawings, selecting materials, and overseeing production to ensure high-quality finished products. Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and innovative jewelry designs that align with client preferences, brand aesthetics, and industry trends.
- Produce detailed sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes of jewelry pieces for client approval and production purposes.
- Collaborate closely with clients, and production teams to understand design specifications and ensure design feasibility.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, materials, and techniques in the jewelry industry to inform design decisions and maintain market relevance.
- Select appropriate gemstones, metals, and other materials based on design requirements, budget considerations, and quality standards.
- Oversee the production process to ensure that designs are accurately translated into finished products while maintaining quality and craftsmanship.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create promotional materials and campaigns showcasing new jewelry designs.
- Uphold high standards of creativity, craftsmanship, and professionalism in all aspects of jewelry design and production.
- Bachelor\'s degree in jewelry design, fine arts, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in jewelry design software (CAD) and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong artistic ability and creativity, with an eye for detail and design aesthetics.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of gemology, metals, jewelry manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
- Previous experience in jewelry design or a related creative field is advantageous.
