The role of ICM South Asia, reports directly to the Asia Pacific Head of ICM, based in Singapore and will matrix report to the Country Corporate Officer of South Asia, based in Mumbai, India. This position will jointly manage the Asia Pac ICM platform in partnership with the various Regional ICM sector heads in Asia Pacific. Leading and implementing South Asia ICM strategy: .Oversee the build-out of the ICM South Asia platform in partnership with the ICM regional sector heads and ensuring execution of ICMs role pursuant to the Wholesale Credit Operating Model. .Developing and maintaining close working relationships with senior leaders across the various ICG business, risk, legal vehicle, and control platforms throughout South Asia. .Managing senior dialogue with all relevant regulatory and governmental entities .Represent the South Asia ICM franchise throughout Citi both regionally and in the cluster. .Contribute to the wider Citi strategy in the South Asia region. Member & representative on in-country forums (Exco, BRCC, RMC) .Provide thought leadership at a Citi South Asia and Regional ICM level on evolving issues such as regulatory environment, risk management, collateral management, and control processes in the region. .Adapt organizational design and resource allocation to the specific needs and market practices and business opportunities of the South Asia region. .Communicate the ICM vision and changes to country stakeholders. Partner & maintain strong relationships with country ICG lines of business leadership (i.e. BCMA, TTS, CCB, Markets) and 2LOD Credit Risk .Evolve organizational structure to align operating model with LOBs strategic focus Leading strong governance and controls: .Works in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance, etc in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure .Builds a culture of responsible finance and ethics .Leads across groups to facilitate optimal resource allocation decision making by country, legal vehicle , product and client segments .Oversight of target operating model rollout across all ICM sub-businesses. Focus on legal entity awareness with efficient escalation of issues and lead remediation efforts. Owner (BAO) for all outsource ICM functions including CBAT oversight and issue escalation Human Capital Management: .Leads the South Asia ICM people strategy, working closely with HR and ICM Regional Heads in all the relevant processes such as:Ensure the people strategy and organizational capabilities are aligned to business strategy .Focus on creating a one ICM identity & culture own implementation of VOE action items (i.e. diversity, inclusion, culture, turnover). Management of pyramid and officer title distribution .Governance of headcount, hiring, workforce planning, redundancy programs, internal mobility, diversity initiatives, etc .Year-end appraisal processes and compensation .Graduate recruitment, training, and other related processes. Experience, Skills and Capabilities: .In depth experience of WLCR and CCR products. .Deep working knowledge of Citi\'s various risk and control policies, as well as regulatory expectations and guidelines .Experience in responding to regulatory inquiries and developing and maintaining relationships with senior regulators .Ability to respond quickly to credit sensitive market, economic or political events, and make critical decisions under stressful conditions. .Successful leadership of a geographically and functionally diverse organization .Strong intellectual grasp of the lending industry and with the ability to anticipate and lead the organizational response to future changes.
