This role involves steering the strategic direction of the company\'s shipping and freight division in India, and overseeing all sales operations in the region.

• Strategic Leadership: * Develop and execute the company\'s India business strategies with focus on financial and operational targets, and aligning them with corporate, organizational goals. * Foster a culture of innovation, adaptability, and continuous improvement. * Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment including employee engagement, talent acquisition, and retention.
• Financial Performance: * Oversee and manage budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource allocation. * Monitor and manage P&L, financial health, profitability, and liquidity. * Optimize revenue streams and cost structures, control debtors and outstanding.
• Operational Management: * Lead and manage all aspects of freight forwarding operations. * Ensure efficient and effective utilization of resources, including personnel, technology, and infrastructure. * Actively manage carrier (air/ocean/land) engagement and contract/space negotiations * Collaborate with stakeholders and members of the network to ensure / enhance service quality and optimize processes.
• Commercial Management: * Identify and develop growth opportunities, new markets, and products. * Actively engage with key customers and complete acquisition of new clients * Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders, address concerns, negotiate agreements. * Establish and maintain a high-quality pricing mechanism with relevant pricing processes, tools and related negotiations. * Monitor customer satisfaction and implement strategies for improvement. * Drive trade lane growth (FOB business) in collaboration and commercial engagement with network partners, own offices and agents.
• Risk Management and Compliance: * Implement robust risk assessment and mitigation strategies to effectively manage operational and financial risks related to the business activities. * Ensure compliance with industry regulations, customs procedures, and international trade laws.

• Minimum of 10 years of successful management experience in the freight forwarding or logistics sector.
• Relevant post graduate degree
• Strong understanding of international trade, customs regulations, and supply chain dynamics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strategic thinker with excellent management skills and strong entrepreneurial mindset
• Extensive negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills, and the ability to drive results and develop business
