We have an opportunity for Manager/Sr Manager - Credit Controller

Experience - 5+ years

Location - Mumbai

Main Responsibilities :

- Monitor and manage the credit control function, ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures.

- Provide suggestions for improving credit policies.

- Conduct credit checks and assess the creditworthiness of new and existing clients.

- Establish credit limits for clients and monitor credit exposures as directed by the agency.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, including contact details, payment terms, and history.

- Evaluate new credit requests and perform client credit checks.

- Proactively contact the distribution team to follow up with clients using email and phone to ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve payment disputes or discrepancies.

- Issue reminder letters, statements, and invoices to clients as required.

- Escalate unresolved payment issues to senior management when necessary.

Relationship Management :

- Collaborate with the sales team to address credit-related concerns and assist in resolving client disputes.

- Provide exceptional customer service and act as a point of contact for client queries related to credit control matters.

Reporting / Management Info :

- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and MIS reports related to credit control, such as collection reports, outstanding reports, doubtful debt reports, etc.

- Independently address unexpected situations.

Qualifications & Experience :

- Previous work experience as a credit controller for 5-6 years.

- Good understanding of the legal complexities of loans, payment plans, and interest rates.

- Ability to reconcile complex debtors\' accounts.

- Proficient in SAP and Excel.

- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably.
