The job holder will be responsible for building strong EHS culture at all plants located in Toranagallu, Bellary District, Karnataka. EHS Manager will be responsible for the following;

• Drive implementation of Harsco\xe2\x80\x99s Global EHS Management Systems, Policies, Procedures, Standards, and Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001)
• Prepare site-specific EHS Strategic plans to drive EHS culture, standards, and performance improvement
• Influence and Support everyone to understand EHS Processes and drive the culture of ownership at the workplace
• Plan and conduct EHS Training for Employees and Contractors
• Monitor, Measure EHS Performance and Maintain MIS
• Undertake/Participate in Incident Investigation Processes
• Conduct Environmental Impact Assessment, HAZOP/Risk Assessment, Internal EHS & Harsco Operating standards assessment.
• Conduct regular reviews to evaluate EHS performance and initiate actions to drive improvement.
• Monitor compliance with EHS regulations.
• Implement EHS engagement programs, and activities to build awareness and keep employees focused.
• Conduct regular audits, and inspections at the workplace and initiate actions for improvement.
• Develop EHS skills and competencies of Front Line Managers, Supervisors, and EHS teams.
• Effectively coordinate with Customer representatives on matters related to EHS.
• Manage and develop the EHS team.

Qualifications

• Should possess minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in process or manufacturing plants preferably in any steel, cement,mining, ferrochrome manufacturing / coal washeries / pelletization or beneficiation plants.
• Should have done full time Diploma in Industrial Safety from institutes approved by State/Central Technical Boards of the Government. NEBOSH Course will be of advantageous.
• Experience shall include handling environmental related matters such like management of emissions / effluents including record management and filing of monthly returns etc.
• Candidate should be good team player, leadership skills.
• Should be proficient in Kannada, English and Hindi.
