Qualification
B.E. Mechanical Requirement
- Strong accomplished experience in CNC Turning, VMC operations, settings & programming.
- Proficient in engineering calculations, cycle time estimation & new parts costing.
- Well conversant with all cutting tools, Machine controllers/ CNC programming & inspection instruments
- Should be able to do CNC optimization & efficiency on shift basis
- Ability to comprehend and follow safety instructions.
- Ability to prepare reports accurately as well as correspond timely to relevant stakeholders.
- Investigate new method of manufacturing or technology to improve current processes, increase capacity & meet production goal
- Develop & initiate cost reduction as well as quality improvement programs.
- Exposure to/ knowledge of Quality management standards.
- Overall management of the CNC machine shop.
- Generate CNC Programs for new parts by using CAD/CAM software.
- Overseeing trials of new parts and documenting processing parameters.
- Managing stocks of cutting tools and other key consumables and requesting supplies as required.
- Working with the Quality team to establish Quality Control plans for new parts.
- Familiar CMM inspection and programming for routinely inspected items.
- Lead a team of supervisors and operators including allocating daily/weekly tasks to the team.
- Assisting operators with setting up of jobs on machines, by providing training and mentoring the operators enabling them to be self-sufficient for running operations along with CNC supervisors.
- Providing technical input on matters such as tooling selection, processing parameters, work holding, processing sequence & finishing.
- Carrying out staff appraisals, supervisions.
- Carrying out spot checks to ensure quality levels.
- Organising Preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines according to plan.
- Building better SOPs and applying lean/six sigma principles to resolve complex / routine production issues.
- CNC programming
- Ability to use CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid works or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics and manuals
- Adaptable to change and varying situations
- Ability to show resilience and a flexible approach
- Good communication skills
- Excellent people skills and the ability to deliver hands on training.
- A high level of computer literacy \xe2\x80\x93 CAD, Word, Excel and manufacturing systems etc.
- Knowledge of Quality, Environment as well as Health & Safety Management Systems
- Apt use of Cutting tools, measuring instruments, and other ancillary equipment.
- Lean manufacturing training / six sigma experience.
- Perform FMEA as needed to establish high quality levels.
