To lead and perform materials characterization, selection, material performance testing according to Mahindra norms in consultation with engineering COE\'s on metallic parts, polymer, composite materials for all projects.
To work with operations, manufacturing, quality, and other teams to set up new processes in support of new product development.
To test, modify, and evaluate the performance of different materials (and combinations of materials) for different qualities.
To choose appropriate material for specific automotive application considering factors like durability, cost, availability, and environmental impact.
To develop and implement quality control process to ensure material meets industry standards and specification.
To analyse test data, investigate incidents of material failure & suggesting alternate material
To provide technical advice about the suitability of materials for different products and problems
To build prototypes and test them before Implementation to check suitability of material.
To explore the environmental impact of different materials and their manufacture and use
To identify & implement measures to improve product quality & production based on usage, application & function.
To liaise with suppliers, customers, and manufacturing/development staff for material development & testing

Should have good knowledge of automotive product development cycle
Proficient in DSC, TGA, FTIR, SEM/EDS ,CT, Optical microscopy, SEM/EDS and other spectroscopy techniques etc
Proficient in PDM software specifically, Teamcenter (PDM software)
Good analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge of vehicle systems and its architecture.
