We are seeking a User Experience/Design Operations Manager to join our Products and Platform team which consists of 60+ user researchers and designers spread across the globe. This talented individual will be working closely with UX leadership, Product Management, Engineering, and other teams to design the future of ZAIDYN. We are looking for someone with experience coordinating and leading design operations activities who can work with other UX managers and leads to define appropriate methods and processes for hiring, training, communication across geographies, and collaboration to enable the design team to focus their time on designing and shipping great products as well as ensure design has a high bar for quality. This role will be a very hands-on leader of the iOS design system workstreams: responsiveness, UI kit, production fixes, enhancements, and documentation including identification and management of the iOS roadmap activities. This role will work closely with the desktop design system, broader platform foundation initiatives, and create and measure KPIs to ensure the use and success of the iOS design system. This role will help to ensure that design is collaborating effectively with product and engineering throughout the development process by partnering with cross-functional members of our product teams such as other User-Experience managers, product managers, designers, engineers, and business leaders. This person will also be the senior design leader in our Pune office helping to mentor and onboard new UX team members, reviewing work, being an advocate for the UX team in India, and working closely with UX leads to ensure that our India UX team members are equipped to meet their research and design needs. This role will take part in many different cross platform, cross team initiatives such as platform consistency, accessibility, and productivity improvements that make our products intuitive, usable, and desirable for people, leveraging product design as a differentiation, while also meeting business needs. We need a great collaborator, someone with attention to detail and awareness of the product design ecosystem, that can help deliver delightful UX experiences for our end users. This person needs to be someone who understands the power of leveraging user-centered research and design methods to solve complex business problems and deliver industry-leading products and offerings, with a keen eye on end user goals. It is also important to be able to explain the value of user-experience and following design best practices to different audiences within ZAIDYN. Responsibilities: Collaborate with and support the design team in delivering high-quality designs; act as a bridge between the design team and the engineering and product management teams, connecting all groups and making sure inter-dependencies are understood and planned for effectively. Assist the UX team by creating the right work conditions to help them meet project deadlines. Work in tandem with other departments to resolve problems, conciliate different points of view, and create a suitable environment to deliver the best user experience while overcoming restrictions related to technology, deadlines, budget, employee allocation, business needs, and user requirements. Help set clear, transparent expectations around deliverables and milestones that the UX team commits to. Help the designers efficiently adapt to rapidly changing business priorities. Ensure that the ZAIDYN Senior Director of UX has visibility on all critical operations projects from planning through implementation and delivery. Identify metrics of success and drive initiatives to improve the quality of UX services. Perform operational forecasting, capacity, and resource planning. Identify team needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, asset management, etc. Help to define processes that enable the UX team to work most efficiently with product, engineering, and QA. Develop and manage design programs including resourcing, timelines, and identifying new design programs. Implement or drive required changes to make sure designers are working at optimum efficiency. Interface with internal business partners throughout various departments. Contribute to the ZAIDYN design system, ensuring consistency of experience across the Platform (products, assets, apps). Partner with the Engineering team, as part of the broader (Agile) Product leadership, to ensure design deliverables are in line with design standards, product vision, end user expectations and release timelines. Qualifications Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Anthropology, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field, with demonstrated use of these skills in software. Product industry background, shipping multiple releases of UX-rich B2B/B2C offerings is a must. Required Skills: 10+ years of experience as a UX/UI expert, with 2+ years managing UX designers & researchers in a product company. Experience working with mature UX teams (Information Architecture, Research, Visual design, design systems, usability, and A/B testing, etc.) Demonstrated ability to focus, motivate, energize, and coach junior team members to meet project objectives and realize their professional potential. Good presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written) including experience and level of comfort presenting concepts to senior executives. Demonstrated ability to be an effective change management leader for their direct reports Experience with design of Enterprise B2B SaaS solutions is required; experience in launching new web and mobile based solutions (hybrid, iOS, Android) is highly desired. Experience managing design operations for a mid to large design team. Deep experience working with creative/design teams, understanding how to integrate process with creative minds. Experience working with or managing design systems. Awareness of Platform ecosystems as it applies to design (common landing page, multi personas, hybrid roles, same-side and multi-side networks, etc.). Experience working with globally distributed teams is a plus. Experience with agile development and methodologies.
