  • Build, develop and lead a highly effective and motivated work force with clearly defined mission and aligned objectives.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of consultants and engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and services related to cloud technologies and tax applications. Allocates resources and prioritizes tasks in alignment with Delivery. Develop departmental plans and determine long term priorities for the team. Responsible for ensuring own staff and contractors have adequate skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business objectives, technical requirements, and challenges. Collaborate closely with clients to develop tailored solutions that meet their needs and drive business value. Ensure client documentation, and appropriate manuals, processes and procedures are updated regularly. Be accountable for customer satisfaction within remit/territory.
  • Cloud Expertise: Demonstrate deep knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Design, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions for our clients, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Tax Applications Knowledge: Possess an understanding of indirect tax applications used in business environments, including but not limited to tax compliance software, ERP systems, and reporting tools. Leverage this expertise to advise clients on integrating tax applications with cloud platforms and optimizing their tax-related processes.
  • Kubernetes Proficiency: Strong understanding of container orchestration platforms, with a particular focus on Kubernetes. Manage containerized applications and optimize Kubernetes environments for performance and efficiency.
  • Project Management: Lead technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate resources, manage stakeholders, and communicate effectively to ensure project success. Provide management bandwidth within the Organization, interface with third parties.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure operational requirements, standards and best practices are factored into plans. Contribute to ongoing refinement and development of operational requirements and standards. Ensure Technical Policies are known by the team and applied consistently.
About You:You're a fit for the role if you have:
  • 10+ years experience, a large part of which has been spent leading and managing a team of technical consultants and/or technical developers.
  • Experience as a technical lead over technology projects for third parties or commercial software projects.
  • Experience with data analytics and a strong command of SQL and Python
  • Experience with Java and large enterprise J2EE financial or complex enterprise J2EE solutions.
  • Understanding of cloud solutions and current cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
  • Understanding of development process for Java based enterprise solutions including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong management experience leading a team that collaborates with global demands across multiple time zones
