The role will be to support and be part of the Service Delivery team for the Tax Engine application used in the India GST Reporting solutions/processes by ensuring compliance that includes data collation, data analysis, data validation, reports consolidation, reports validation and reconciliations.
Work with the Tax Engine Service Delivery lead in identifying the activities to be performed by the Tax Engine Service Delivery team, which is currently handled by the Project team.
Support the Tax Engine Service Delivery lead in coming up with a training plan, ensure the necessary tool sets are in place and make sure the training plan is executed smoothly and in a timely manner.
Work on the activities directly identified/assigned and deliver them within the agreed timelines.
Disseminate the knowledge on existing as well as ongoing changes happening in the India GST/GCC VAT/Tax Engine processes in an organized manner to the rest of the team members and bring them up to speed to perform the activities.
Support the team in delivering the agreed processes, by assigning some of the processes to self to manage peak working load.
To gain detailed understanding of the India GST & GCC VAT reporting process of the Bank and become an SME.
To meet the timelines of all India GST/GCC VAT Deliverables without any deviation as there is a regulatory expectation in meeting the timelines by planning the activities/deliverables and assign them to the team accordingly.
Provide the necessary updates to stakeholders/Project working groups on a regular basis.

Interact with Key Project team members/stakeholders to understand Regulatory Impact / Changes

Tax CoE is responsible for producing high quality, timely tax returns & tax reports for the Group and countries. Tax CoE covers financial tax reporting, tax compliance, tax controversy, tax forecasting, client tax reporting and transfer pricing processes

Identify opportunities to remove process waste, engage in standardisation of various reporting packs and encourage, drive and support automation initiatives thereby reduce / remove the non-value adds in the process.
Establish robust control and governance on the process

Drive a culture to capture appropriate metrics for tracking actual hours/ standard hours/ errors etc
Ensure detailed documentation and it is up to date for all processes

Our Ideal Candidate
Degree qualified with a preference in a Business, Finance, Accountancy, Law or Taxation from a reputed institution with 8+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience.
Strong process & data analysis skills, ability to prioritise and manage work to defined time lines / budgets;
Sound Knowledge on India GST/GCC VAT rules is preferable.
Proven ability to work within a team environment and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders;
Confident and capable user of Micro Soft applications like Excel, Word, MPP. SQL knowledge is preferable.
Ability to think laterally and critically, challenge status-quo and demonstrate innovative thinking.
Good working knowledge of international banking products, systems and/or processes including a previous work experience in any data warehouse infrastructure is highly preferable
Previous experience of regulatory reporting project would be an advantage
