Forescout\'s R&D Pune team is looking for an experienced Technical Software Engineering Manager who can drive and work hands-on with our supported products.

What You Will Do

• Managing the day-to-day operations of a security application software engineering team.
• Led a team of software engineers who are involved in designing, developing, and unit testing Forescout eyeSight product features to develop new functionality, improve product capability, and enhance the customer experience.
• Responsible for the coaching and technical career development of direct reports, including removing impediments to success.
• Hire and perform performance assessments as required.
• Collaborate with other technical teams, understand complex technical inner workings, and meet the quality expectations of the R&D organization.
• Collaborate across multiple time zones with multiple R&D teams.
• Actively suggest and describe ways to improve the supportability of Forescout products.
• Attract, recruit, and hire software engineers when appropriate.
• Hands-on technical capability to build, test, and release software plug-ins if necessary.

What You Will Bring To Forescout

• A start-up spirit and a can-do attitude. Willing to figure things out when necessary.
• 3+ years of Technical Leadership and/or Management experience in software
• 8-12 years of hands-on experience in development, testing, systems engineering, utilizing workflows for orchestration, and third-party integrations.
• Hands-on experience with at least two of these languages: Java, C/C++, Perl, Python, and JavaScript
• Hands-on knowledge of software engineering best practices, development tools, code repositories, and build management.
• Hands-on knowledge of software QA engineering concepts and techniques.
• Process creation when necessary and evolution of existing processes when appropriate
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, SSH, and other networking protocols
• Deep knowledge of development and experience with Agile, Kanban, and Scrum methodologies
• Advanced Experience in Atlassian Products, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
