Magellan Aerospace (Tumkur) Private Limited, is having an opening for the position Manager - Supply Chain Management.Education qualification : A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or aboveExperience : Minimum 8 years in the purchase/supply chain management domain in an aerospace engineering industry.Skills Required :

• Experience in buying capital goods/Direct materials
• Knowledge of rules and regulation of indirect taxes.
• Should have good knowledge of SAP & worked in SAP environment.
• Performs other purchasing or inventory control duties as necessary or as requested.
• Should have good negotiation skills.
• Leadership quality - Should be able to lead and mentor a team
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and MS Projects

• Responsible for evaluating, assessing and selecting vendors based on capabilities, performance and consistent quality. Maintains rapport and good working relationships with vendors; keeps accurate vendor records.
• Evaluates inventory reorder levels and quantity price breaks to determine most economical purchasing of inventory and supplies in relationship to companys cost of capital. Prepares monthly reports and reviews forecast of purchasing commitments with Finance.
• Responsible for buying capital goods
• Manage & expedite purchase orders as necessary and ensures delivery of purchased items for uninterrupted manufacturing flow.
• Responsible for meeting inventory turnover ratio targets
• Liaison with production department to keep optimum Inventory.
• Liaison with Finance department for timely payment of bills
• Responsible for checking skill matrix before allocating tasks to employees
• Developing store strategies.
• Oversee all finished goods labelling, packing and all applicable packing procedures.
• Creating and monitoring of effective inventory system to minimize the inventory.
• Guiding, Leading and monitoring of the Stores, Toolcrib and packing department activities on time to time basis to middle management personnel.
• To be aware of AS-9100 and ISO 14001 - 2015 standards
• To be aware about the aspect & impact pertaining to EMS in the particular function.
• To be aware about the OSHAS and recommend ideas to improve safety in the organisation.
