Job Purpose

Lead the business partnering & Sourcing role from strategic procurement for CDMO business to engage and support both internal and external customers. To drive the Strategic sourcing initiatives for developmental services. Responsible to manage the end-to-end process of source to Contract to manage Delivery, Quality, Cost, and Safety in Strategic sourcing.

Key Responsibilities:

Build Subject matter expertise and drive the strategic procurement and inventory management process by working with all stakeholders to maximize the inventory and sourcing productivity. * Develop and execute Procurement Category management strategies across all materials including Key Starting materials, Solvents, Chemicals, APIs, Packing material etc. under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) category.

• Lead the team to deliver excellence in all Category management Procurement KPIs
• Manage the Supplier life cycle including supplier selection, assessment, development and supplier consolidation to ensure optimisation and better performance of Suppliers
• Responsible for negotiations for best possible cost service guarantee and develop \xe2\x80\x9cwin-win\xe2\x80\x9d strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers
• Ability to collaborate with Technical team, Supplier for developing innovative products at optimised cost
• Manage the Supply chain risk including development of Global suppliers including China
• Regular meeting, interaction and communication with operating unit to bring in operational excellence, faster delivery and overall efficiency in the strategic procurement business partnering
• Defining supplier management strategy, aligning it with overall Goal, and executing strategic supplier relationship management with key suppliers.
• Conducting strategic sourcing initiatives, (supplier and industry analysis. benchmarks, cost structure analysis) and ensuring process compliance and high levels of customer satisfaction
• Build overall expertise around the Commodity by developing supply-demand market intelligence, technology trends, competitive intelligence, Price benchmarking etc.
• Identifying supplier risk areas and quantifying risk exposure, and executing risk mitigation actions
• Managing internal and external customers with regular MIS, Communication and meetings
• Develop strong relationship with all the stakeholders, Manage analytics, preparation of reports for decision making

Key Responsibilities under GMP:

• Thorough understanding of Vendor Qualification SOP(s) and adherence
• Identification of the vendors in consultation with Process Research and Development (PRD) and production department
• Co-ordination with shortlisted vendors for vendor qualification/re-qualification as per Vendor Qualification SOP(s)
• Follow approved vendor list (AVL) for the procurement and subcontract activities
• Responsible for audit conduct and clearance in alignment to GMP requirements
• Conduct half yearly supplier\'s review of the approved suppliers in reference to GMP compliance

Educational Qualification: * B. Tech/ BE/ B.Pharma/M.Sc Chemistry

• MBA is an advantage

• Strong and effective decision-making capacity
• Effective at interpreting complex and multiple sources of information to make decisions
• Good understanding of Procurement systems, GMP Quality system and compliance requirement
• Good understanding of Chemical synthesis, Biologics products, production process and associated cost drivers for Procurement
• Strategic capability to assess the suppliers on their capabilities including cost, innovation and technology collaboration
• Strong program management skills
• Commercial acumen with strategic thinking

Experience: * Should have experience in Pharma Procurement with 12+ years of experience 2.

• Procurement experience from China is an added advantage
• CDMO procurement experience is an advantage
• Experience in material management in EOU/ SEZ with taxes, duties and other financial implications
