Key peers, contacts, and communication The Security Manager Container Freight Stations (SM-CFS) will ensure that the facility and location security regimes / programmes are aligned with the DP World Group Security Management System (SMS) and DP World Group Security standards. Required Due to the nature of the role, the SM-CFS is required to build & maintain internal relationships with all stakeholders at site such as: Health and Safety Managers. Business Unit Head. Operational Manager. Other managers. The SM-CFS will also be expected to build and maintain relationships with other BU security managers, to share best practices across regions. The SM-CFS is also expected to have the ability to network, build and maintain external relationships with State Government and State security agencies e.g., State Police and Intelligence agencies. The SM-CFS must have the confidence to question, confront and offer solutions to senior managers to ensure that the security of the locations under their remit are not compromised, and that security solutions are in line with DP World Group Security standards. The SM-CFS will routinely be in contact with employees of all levels at their site and will maintain a close relationship with DP World SCO Security. Organisational and Job Context Limits of authority This role is a mid-management role within DP World and therefore has adequate autonomy, however senior management must be kept informed and involved in key security issues and on decisions that may potentially impact the reputation of the company, have significant financial implications or impact on the operations of a business unit. Roles And Responsibilities Job Purpose To lead and drive the company\'s security policies and practices and remain in compliance with government issued mandates and DP World Group Security Management Systems at CFS. Key Accountabilities To ensure that security practices at PFT are implemented and maintained for the physical safety of all visitors, employees or customers to DP World facilities and the security of property & assets owned by the company. To ensure that security awareness becomes a culture within the area of responsibility, using security campaigns, training, outreach, and awareness sessions, either in person to locally based colleagues or remotely through delegated security managers regionally. To ensure all travellers to the site are apprised of security risk factors and implement measures and mitigation techniques appropriate to the specific location. To maintain close contact with regional peers within DP World and to build effective relationships with regional and local. agencies who can assist the collection of security information and the response of an incident. To assist and guide business unit to meet and maintain security compliance initiatives. To assist in the implementation and maintenance of ISO 28000:2022 and TAPA Standards or other relevant security standards. Undertake Risk Assessments and provide advice on security matters and compliance for new projects. Support and where assigned, lead security systems projects. Undertake security reviews and/or audits within the region as per frequency agreed with Regional Head and Group Security. Drive the process by which the compliance loss prevention standards are attained. Identify, develop & implement additional loss prevention program. Effectively partner with operations & support functions in evaluating current & future business process & initiatives. Serve as a member of a coordinated team of loss prevention managers in relentlessly pursuing improvements to loss prevention program efforts. Perform interior & exterior loss prevention audits, being alert to & responding to any security of loss prevention issues noted at the site. Encourage & promote loss prevention within the workforce exercising integrity & ethical methods. Monitor the site for compliance with security & loss prevention policies. Establish & use risk assessment process to identify & prioritize risks & mitigation means at the CFS. Liaise & cooperate with law enforcement & industry bodies, as well as vendors, suppliers & partners to effectively resolve exposures & mitigate risks. Demonstrate knowledge of loss prevention best practices in supply chain, to include application of physical security systems, warehouse security management, investigation techniques/laws of arrest, management of contract guards\' agencies, delivery carriers\' loss mitigation techniques. Conduct new hire orientation & training. Management of third-party Guard force, ensuring training and daily performance. Knowledge, Qualifications And Experience Experience of security gathered through serving in either of the following: Must have experience in working in any of security compliance framework (CSI, TAPA, etc.) and/or in any ISO Management Standards. Good experience in warehouse security management. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products. Must have experience or qualifications in electronic security systems including but not limited to: Military Officer (5 Years) Police/CAPF or other law enforcement Officer (5 Years) Extensive civilian security background, having worked for large Multinational Corporations (7+ years) Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Electronic Access Control (EAS) Security System Software Extensive experience in loss prevention. Communication and Influencing- demonstrate ability to identify the customer expectation and adjust language/ style to suit the listener; structure the information using correct terminology and grammar; be articulate and well-reasoned; solution-focused; customer-focused; have excellent follow-up.
