Vitaliz Biosciences JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Manager - Sales
Reporting to : COO NOTE: This document is an outline of the primary tasks assigned and may be changed at the discretion of the management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. All team members are expected to assist Vitaliz in achieving its goals even if such tasks are beyond the scope of this outline. Position Overview: This position is the leader of the selling Team and is accountable for achieving the company\xe2\x80\x99s sales and profitability goals. This role requires to provide direction and leadership to the team while taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and market share, within the geographical area specified. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provides quality leadership for Vitaliz\xe2\x80\x99s sales team in all assigned tasks, while upholding the company\xe2\x80\x99s Values at all times; inclusive of constructive problem solving, facilitating creative improvements, and inspiring others. 2. Lead the development of the Marketing Strategy for the company incl. positioning of the business unit, the Go-to-Market strategy for new products, Pricing, Channel & Promotion, as well as defining the range of solutions required to be successful in the segment 3. Building a marketing plan for the segment and leading transversal implementation to ensure deliverables are met 4. Defining Vitaliz\xe2\x80\x99s value proposition within the segment and ensure products and services are in place to support it 5. Leading the Innovation development strategy of the segment, and working with R&D to develop proof of concept criteria 6. Contribute to the Innovation project management process, develop the go-to-market strategy and financial targets for new product launches 7. Meets sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions. 8. Sets the vision and develops and adheres to a business plan to attain this vision 9. Set market pricing guidelines 10. Identify and select prospects and targeted VITALIZ customers to strengthen our customer portfolio 11. Define the segment marketing and promotional plan 12. Propose Channel strategy to be validated with sales 13. Tailor and coordinate Global Marketing strategies and initiatives to regional needs to ensure local relevance 14. Work with the team to create growth plans for strategic customers 15. Help drive financial management, gap analysis and business mix 16. Lead efforts to reduce costs across managed categories by performing value analysis and issuing guidelines for new development 17. Responsible for all strategic elements of the market segment 18. Coordination with team to implement Strategy. 19. Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of sales and profitability. Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors and disseminate information to sales team and sales operations. 20. Special projects as assigned. Responsibility and Decision Making Authority:
  • Empowered to make decisions, and authority to make cross functional decisions in partnership with peers of other functions.
Qualifications/Competencies/Position Requirements:
  • Proven experience of selling Food Ingredients/Food Fortification Premixes to Oil, Milk, Flour,
  • Rice, Bread-Bakery and Confectionary, Salt and sugar manufacturers etc. Must have existing relationships with manufacturers of Oil, Milk, Flour, Rice, Baking and Confectionary, Pharma and Nutraceuticals.
  • Consumer products formulation and commercial B to B experience,
  • Strong influence management, motivation, and engagement of indirect team members
  • Global business experience and willingness to travel internationally
  • Strong analytical skills, including understanding of website metrics, data analysis, and reporting tools.
  • Must have product management experience (i.e. market awareness on trends; market feedback of new products in domestic & international markets; introduce new innovative products; study international brands not found in Indian market; understands costing and pricing to introduce new Fortification Premixes; coordination with R&D for new product development; designing marketing collaterals, packaging and literature; should be updated with FSSAI/Market standards; effectively positioning and launching new products as also repositioning existing products.
  • Understanding of Digital Platforms and how to utilize these platforms, how to utilize these for out-reach programs, comfortable with modern social networking & B2B digital marketing
  • Plan, execute, measure campaigns in collaboration with Digital teams
  • Proven track record of establishing and implementing strategies and programs
  • Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and influence across cross-functional teams including strong business writing skills
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills; pro-active and creative problem solving abilities
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in a prior sales position.
  • Strong closing skills. Prior attendance at formal sales training courses a plus.
  • Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilize to position the features and benefits to customers.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Science, Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, Chemistry, or associated field (MBA is a plus) or equivalent experience
  • A high calibre Individual with 5 \xe2\x80\x93 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Sales of Nutraceuticals. Ideal candidate should have experience in the Pharma and nutraceutical ingredients industry.
  • The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of the drivers of the business and should have demonstrated the ability to adapt and deliver in an aggressive and competitive environment

Remuneration:
  • As per industry. Will consider higher for deserving candidates.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: \xe2\x82\xb950,000.00 - \xe2\x82\xb960,000.00 per month Benefits:
