JOB SCOPERole : Manager Quality-QA & QCThe position is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of products and services within the organization. The individual in this role will lead a team of quality professionals, develop and implement quality control processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards. This position will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction and promoting a culture of quality excellence.Responsibilities

• Team Leadership:
• Lead and manage a team of quality control and quality assurance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, motivation, and professional development.
• Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and identify opportunities for growth and training.
• Quality Control and Assurance:
• Develop and implement quality control strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Establish and monitor quality assurance metrics, conducting audits, inspections, and tests to identify areas for improvement and ensure product/service integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality requirements and drive process enhancements that promote efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead initiatives to streamline quality control and assurance activities.
• Analyse data, trends, and metrics to identify root causes of quality issues and develop action plans for resolution and prevention.
• Implement corrective and preventive measures, monitor their effectiveness, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality control processes, procedures, and results.
• Collaborate with regulatory and compliance teams to support audits, inspections, and certifications.
• Supplier and Vendor Management:
• Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to establish quality requirements for suppliers and vendors.
• Conduct supplier audits, evaluate performance, and drive improvements in supplier quality.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timely resolution of quality issues.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate - B. Tech Food Technology / Postgraduate M. Tech Food.

• Proven experience (10+ years) in quality control and quality assurance roles, with at least 5 years of managerial experience in the similar industry.

Knowledge and Skills (Functional / Technical)

• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and regulatory requirements applicable to the industry.
• Experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is highly desirable.
• Certifications related to quality management.

Leadership Attributes (Functional / Technical)

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving quality objectives.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, analyse data, and implement effective solutions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
