Your Role at Baxter:

Baxter\xe2\x80\x99s suite of diagnostic cardiology solutions of the Front Line Care business unit products are standard of care for improving diagnostic yield, workflow efficiency, and long-range patient outcomes. The products include intelligent and connected devices that utilize advance sensing capabilities to generate differentiated insights across key heart conditions (e.g. Arrythmia, MI, CHF). Further, connected solutions through vendor neutral shared platforms (i.e. Epiphany) can streamline workflows, EMR integration and care pathways across the patient journey. Additionally, Clinical, and remote services augment and support clinician and staff processes and services to provide actionable data on patients and devices. And finally, AI aided diagnosis and decision support capabilities improve diagnostic yields and efficiencies.

The $130M business portfolio includes the ELI Resting ECG systems, Holter analysis and recorders, stress ECG diagnostics, spirometry diagnostics and data management systems that represent the standard of care for diagnostic cardiology .

Position Overview

A Project Manager will be responsible for development of products and providing creative solutions associated with the design, development, and sustaining engineering for our new and existing product portfolio. The successful candidate will possess solid \xe2\x80\x9chands-on\xe2\x80\x9d technical abilities, an excitement and energy for product development, and a passion for their work and the impact it has on meeting the needs of patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Own project/program delivery end-to-end; including scoping, prioritizing, planning, scheduling, execution/monitoring activities of the project, working with cross-functional teams globally.
• Work in close collaboration with program managers, project leads, technical leaders & SMEs to achieve tactical project goals and balance strategic organization goals.
• Work closely with development teams spread globally, playing a leadership role in development process across products \xe2\x80\x93 with an objective to deliver projects on time with quality.
• Provide regular communication to stakeholders, ensuring thoroughness in dealing with the details.
• Be a change agent - drive agility in organization & demonstrate a sense of urgency.
• Understands and deploys processes to assure conformance to the Baxter New Product Development/ Change management process in an expedited manner.
• Continuously reviews program/project progress, proactively identify risks and collaboratively develops and drives risk mitigation efforts.
• Interacts frequently with all levels of internal management as well as across functions and business units.
• Works with post-market teams to monitor and handle product issues in the installed base through the CAPA processes laid down.
• Involved in identifying, selecting, managing & working with vendors of specialized skills and/or goods as needed for projects.
• Participates in interactions with cross functional teams concerning product design, systems, and processes.
• Mentors and coaches project leaders or scrum masters to ensure their project deliveries.
• Identifies and manages continuous improvement projects that may span multiple sections or departments with the objective of achieving quality, reliability, and cost improvements.
• Plays active role in developing long term plans for product development proposals.
• Has a keen eye on continuous improvement and simplification for efficient delivery.

Qualifications / Experience and/or Background

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in any engineering discipline with 12 to 15 years of experience.
• Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Program Management involving electromechanical hardware, firmware/software, IT, regulatory, security, product life cycle and marketing.
• Should have had hands-on experience and worked as program/project manager for complex projects in large organizations, preferably in a matrix global organization.
• PMP Certification will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to medical device or healthcare projects would be a definite plus with exposure to medical regulatory standards/processes related to FDA/ISO/IEC.
• Budget management skills \xe2\x80\x93 finance, resource deployment & material tracking and utilization.
• Strong visualization & reporting skills using latest project management & reporting tools.
• Strong presentation skills and having had the exposure of reporting out project status to senior management.
• Vendor management skills \xe2\x80\x93 have had exposure working with external consulting firms delivering specialized skills and/or goods.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication/influencing/negotiation skills required.
• Sharp business, technical & financial acumen.
• Demonstrated facilitation and negotiation skills in driving closure on product/program-related decisions/issues
• Capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience.
• Ability to influence outside the immediate scope of responsibility.
