Key Responsibilities:
Policy Assessment & Content Development:
1. Timely review and analysis of ongoing policy, regulatory and legal matters.
2. Conducting research on relevant policy issues, legislative proposals, and regulatory developments.
3. Analyzing the potential impact of policies on the organization or the sector it represents
2. Developing and updating from time to time - Stakeholder Heat Map/ Stakeholder Engagement Plan, Monthly/ Quarterly/ Annual Delivery Plans
3. Preparing Briefing notes, Memos, Letters, Position Papers, White Papers, Minutes of Meetings, and Talking points etc.
Stakeholder Management:
1. Supporting on MoUs, corresponding Action Plans and follow-ups/ cadence
2. Organizing events, forums, or campaigns to mobilize public opinion and support.
3. Coordination with business and support functions within Maersk (APMT, Maersk Line, Finance, Tax etc.) and external agencies for events, industry association meetings etc.
4. Working with coalitions, alliances, and industry groups to amplify advocacy efforts.
5. Negotiating and managing partnerships to achieve common policy objectives.
6. Working with coalitions, alliances, and industry groups to amplify advocacy efforts.
7. Building relationships with policymakers, government officials, and key stakeholders
Process:
1. Serving as a spokesperson on policy issues and advocating for the organization's interests
2. Representing the organization at conferences, hearings, and other public forums.
3. Managing budgets and resources allocated for advocacy activities responsibly
Who we are looking for:
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex policy issues clearly and persuasively to different audiences.
2. Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct thorough policy research and analysis.
3. Several years of experience (typically 7+ years) in policy analysis, either within a governmental agency, a nonprofit organization, a research institute, or a corporate setting. This experience should include researching and analyzing policy issues, understanding legislative processes, and assessing the impact of policies.
