JOB SUMMARY: Polaris is recruiting for a Manager of Analytics & Data Science Manager to manage a team of analytics professional that will include Data Scientists, Data Analysts and Reporting Analysts. This team will focus work on analysis, definition, and development of complex data models and reporting for the Engineering, Manufacturing, Dealer and Customer products with a strong focus on analytics and predictive reporting using multiple data sources and tools.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Build a team dedicated to improve business outcomes with analytics Define and measure team performance metrics Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with other supervisors Provide thought leadership and best practices related to reporting and predictive analytics / machine learning solutions Be able to define requirements, analyze and design solutions in the analytics and Data Science space

• Evolve and implement an Agile methodology for delivery of results
• Work with management, business analysts, project managers, and business clients to document requirements and prepare design documents.
• Coaches team members on performance, completes employee performance evaluations, and recommends pay actions
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Expertise regarding predictive data modeling, data mining and segmentation techniques
Highly proficient with data mining/visualization/predictive modeling tools: SQL, Power BI, R, Python, Data Robot Expert understanding of statistical methods and predictive/analytical modeling techniques and practices Strong experience with data preparation, rationalization, and processing in a cloud environment - Azure a plus Proficient with one or more data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI Experience with deep learning / AI models using CNN, RNN and computer vision Excellent organizational, time management, and project planning/strategizing skills Strong analytical and problem resolution skills

• Ability to collaborate in a matrix environment, work with geographically distributed teams
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills and business relationship management experience

Education and Work Experience 7+ years experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science field with 4 or year leading and managing a team Masters or bachelors in quantitative field such as (but not limited to) Applied Statistics / Mathematics, Data or Computer Science Demonstrated experience in project management and organization
Experience working in an agile environment a plus Experience in a Manufacturing related industry a plus
