Must have experience on Life Admin Systems/ Life Insurance, Annuity products
Min 8+ years of experience in development of policy administration system (COBOL)
Min 8+ years of experience in development/maintenance and Support projects of Mainframe preferably Cobol & DB2.
Min 6+ yrs of experience in SQL
Must have good knowledge of Policy Administration System design and architecture
Must have hand-on experience of Insurance Policy Admin system Migration/Conversion project
Must be aware of new technologies and market updates with respect to Life and Annuity business
Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and design the proposed IT solution.
Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations and provide input to information/ data flow, and understand and comply to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps.
Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.
Document High Level and Low Level technical specifications.
Good communication, problem solving & interpersonal skills
Having Life insurance certifications such as LOMA will be added advantage
