The person in this role will be focused on managing the PubMatic Network Operation Team and the Global Data Center Network Infrastructure
Main responsibilities include managing the network operations team, overseeing the global data center network, project planning, task delegation, and the implementation of network services and hardware in a global data center environment.
This candidate must have experience with Juniper network hardware as well as management capabilities. They must be able to demonstrate broad network engineering experience in understanding, deployment, and security. The qualified candidate must also have experience with Juniper network operations, hardware installations, the configuration of the network devices. The candidate should be able to provide optimized configurations to others. This position is required to review and approve change control requests as needed.
This is a senior position role which requires mentoring others, great communication, and leadership skills.Responsibilities:

• Lead highly cross-functional infrastructure projects/programs/functions in a matrix organization covering a range of areas (data center, network, infrastructure, logistics, supply chain, compliance, legal, and software system engineering).
• Identify opportunities to drive improvements to existing tools & processes and providing feedback on new policies, practices, procedures in order to scale with the rapid expansion of the PubMatic platform and customer base.
• Represent organization and manage interaction with third party hardware, colocation, telecom carrier, and managed service partners.
• Lead business risk management alignment and change management at the organizational level for infrastructure use cases.
• Ensure relevant operational process, procedure, and policy documentation is effectively managed and the data required to support operations is complete and accurate in systems.
• Provide expert root cause and corrective action leadership to resolve any and all operational issues found across infrastructure architectures, hardware platforms, and vendor performance.
• Be heavily involved in driving the team to analyze operational events in order to identify new automation opportunities and help us achieve our vision of all Tier-1 faults in the network being fully remediated by software.
• When appropriate, provide hands-on management and leadership during analysis, goal definition, design, solution development, plan socialization, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.
• Work within a team of technical resources to support the work from the Architectural, Engineering and Operation teams to lead and maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol enterprise and production networks.
• Ensures 24x7 operational support and maintenance of applications. Support in carrying out Network Engineering tasks as assigned.
• Interacts and communicates with supervisor and peers. Receives and transmits routine information requiring some explanation or interpretation, typically to members of a single technical team.
• Ability to resolve network issues with a low to moderate degree of complexity while following established procedures or analyzing data to diagnose and identify root causes when necessary, to resolve network issues or complete assignments.
• Demonstrates a good work ethic, initiative and the ability to purposefully and effectively troubleshoot problems and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with the business to understand requirements and how to meet these requirements.
• Responsible for Incident Management ensuring that incidents are effectively escalated, and resolved with full communication of status, plans, and actions to management and customers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or greater in field such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 8+ years of technical experience in network, security and transport related fields.
• Juniper networking experience is a must.
• Demonstrated hands-on technical experience with technologies and concepts Including switches, routers, compression hardware and NAT translation hardware.
• Experience and fundamental knowledge of transport, network and internet routing concepts, security policies and peering; specifically, BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, Multicast.
• Experience with protocol analysis, transport analysis, network flow analysis, and packet capture devices.
