Job Description

The Manager, Medical External Partnerships role is a unique opportunity that sits within the Medical Affairs function to plan and execute partnerships opportunities across therapy areas and execute the plan for Pfizer for a diverse range of Pfizer assets. The role will focus on scientific engagements across therapy areas to present a bouquet of services from Pfizer, serving as a single POC for medical and scientific external stakeholders - mainly key institutes, associations, academia, and public health organizations.The role will report to the Primary Care and Partnerships, Medical Lead and serve as a thought partner across therapy areas for identification, and implementation of medical/scientific synergies to provide unified offerings to our stakeholders and customers.Responsibilities

• Will Interact with scientific external stakeholders to create opportunities of scientific partnerships and execute PFE sponsored or Co-sponsored educational programs
• Will work with internal and external stakeholders to plan for and support potential collaboration opportunities from a medical perspective to drive a culture of innovation and scientific decision making
• Will be responsible to work with the Primary Care and Partnerships Medical Lead and build Pfizer\xe2\x80\x99s reputation as a partner of choice in academic / educational programs, sustaining high levels of scientific repute for the enterprise
• Will be instrumental in early identification of academic, innovation or partnership opportunities, taking into considerations several external factors (such as competitive landscape, policy evolutions)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Life-sciences background with min 5 years of cumulative experience
• MD, MBA, MPH or MPP preferred
• Previous experience in healthcare consulting or in a policy / advocacy role is highly desirable
