Summary This position provides leadership in the organization or functional area and is primarily engaged in management activities that establish the direction of a department, function, or project. The position requires the application of knowledge gained from experience and expertise to the job duties and responsibilities. The position will make decisions in areas that may impact the organization and its employees, clients, budgets, policies, procedures, work practices, or compliance programs. Scope This position serves as a Project Logistics Manager on small- to medium-d Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction (EPFC) projects, and/or may serve as support on corporate logistics initiatives/proposals and estimation. Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities . Serve as a project member in the formulation of plans and the execution of the overall material management activity and/or assist in the planning and execution of specialized logistics activities for the project, function or office, as applicable . Manage the procurement work process related to logistics and reports the material management status of purchased material and equipment from the time of handover to logistics through receipt at assigned points of use . Manage the development of all logistics activities from the requisition to close-out, and assign requisitions, including Requests for Quotation or Proposal packages to appropriate supply chain management personnel . Responsible for the implementation, management, and monitoring of the logistics Work Process with the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to meet project requirements and schedule . Perform supervisory responsibilities as appropriate . Generate Request for Quotation (RFQ)/Purchase Orders (PO) in the approved material management reference system either for project, estimate, or proposal work . Review and action planning reports to appropriate persons for the follow-up to support Fabrication or Construction . Review, analyze, and negotiate Terms and Conditions, based on Prime Contract flow downs . Maintain the highest ethical standards of Material Management professional responsibility . In-depth knowledge of International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS) and regulations associated with import/export . Knowledge and full understanding of all modes of transportation (ocean, air, and land) . Full understanding of customs clearance processes . Ability to lead, train, mentor, and manage personnel . Proficiency in Microsoft applications . Ability to work with supply chain software\'s . Typically manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities, and timely performance feedback . Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions, and locations . Analyze situations, identify, and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options and recommend/implement an appropriate course of action . Focus on Cost savings and avoidance during project execution . Support functional leadership and office materials management/project teams with logistics solutions . Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines . Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards . Adhere to and support Fluor\'s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies . Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job . May need to travel to attend to business-related matters . Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality . Other duties as assigned Basic Job Requirements . Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years. of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fourteen (14) years. if non-degreed some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements . Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders . Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job . Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines . Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner Preferred Qualifications . Applicable professional certification(s) or license(s) . Experience should be primarily in the area of material management . Excellent interpersonal and communication skills . Excellent computer literacy and skills . Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
