The Senior Legal Counsel is responsible for providing legal opinions & legal review of areas covering, employment law, data privacy, vendor management, compliance, to ensure that that Allstate is able, comply with laws and requirements in India.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Advise and provide legal support to the business on risk assessment and mitigation strategies
• Provide legal advise and guidance on all legal matters relating the AllState India
• Develop and implement strategies to protect AllState India legally
• Conduct legal research and analysis on ad hoc complex legal issues and provide recommendations on legal strategies
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to ensure that all legal requirements are met for AllState India.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job may have supervisory duties.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Law degree from a premier college
• 12 years or more of experience with atleast 5 years in house experience ( preferred)
• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSNo Certification, License or Registration are required.xc2xb7FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

• Experience with working in a large matrixed origination
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
• Expert in Indian corporate laws and providing responses to business which are commercially viable and in accordance with the laws. Able to manage several competing requirements at the same time.
