About the role
The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning and development programs for employees. This role involves assessing organizational needs, developing training strategies, and ensuring that employees acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for their roles. The Learning and Development Manager collaborates with various departments to identify training needs, create effective training materials, and measure the success of training initiatives.
1. Training Needs Analysis
- Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in employee skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with department heads and key stakeholders to understand organizational goals and objectives.
2. Content Creation, Design and Development
- Creation, design and develop learning programs, workshops, and training materials.
- Utilize various instructional design methodologies and technologies to create engaging and effective training content.
3. Implementation and Delivery
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
- Collaborate with internal or external trainers and subject matter experts as needed.
- Ensure the delivery of training aligns with the identified needs and objectives.
4. E-Learning and Technology Integration
- Explore and implement e-learning solutions to enhance training efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate technology into training programs.
5. Evaluation and Measurement
- Develop and implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
- Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve training initiatives.
6. Budget Management
- Develop and manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Evaluate and select external training vendors when necessary.
7. Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure that training programs comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Prepare and present reports on the impact and effectiveness of training initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in human resources, Education, Business, or a related field. Master\'s degree is a plus.
- Should have at least 5+ years of experience in the L&D domain.
- Proven experience in learning and development, with a focus on program design and delivery.
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and other training technologies.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
