Job Responsibilities of Manager - HR Systems / Manager - HCMS:
• HR Systems domain - IT project mode and systems operations mode based on need:
Gather business change requirements/enhancements; raise configuration change
requests; ensure configuration changes; change control process, testing and roll-out;
maintain system documentation.
• Be a team-leader/people-manager as well as a solution architect/individual contributor
• Learn-as-per-need, Coach team members on techno-functional aspects, provide end
user support and training
• Periodic system updates and validations as required across Development/Test;
Preview/Stage and Production environments
• Interface with the software/services vendor's Customer Success/Technical Support team
for select change requests, issue resolution and keeping track of system updates
• Maintain organization masters and proactively manage system-wide impact of changes
• System-related issues categorization, prioritization, tracking and timely closure through
Employee Helpdesk
• Troubleshooting and carrying out independent Root-Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Interface with auditors: IT Application Controls and IT Governance
• Take handover, maintain and enhance new systems implemented by HR Product team.
A. System Administration - Core System of Records (SAP SuccessFactors)
Module scope within SAP SuccessFactors: Employee Central, Time & Leave, Performance
Management-Goal Management (PMGM), Compensation, Onboarding2.0, Role-based
Permissions, Reports, Workflows, Integrations
B. System Administration - Systems Adjacent to SAP SuccessFactors
System administration, maintenance and enhancement of niche systems: Applicant Tracking
System (Greenhouse), Onboarding tool (Tydy), Learning Management System, Contract
Workforce Management System and 360 Feedback tool (Qualtrics 360); some vendors give
full control of system administration to HR Systems team while the others involve ongoing
dependency on the vendor's technical team for many aspects of the system maintenance.
C. Vendor Relations
Vendor relations (governance, contracts, payments) for all the HR Systems vendors
Stakeholders for Manager - HR Systems / Manager - HCMS:
• HR stakeholders (HR Business Partners, Talent Management, Compensation &
Benefits, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition) and HR Product & Analytics teams
• End-users: Manager and Employees
• Corporate IT team: Especially for integrations, Google Single-Sign On
• Vendor spocs: Project Manager, Technical-Functional Consultants
• Leadership: Governance/Steering Committee, Vendor leadership
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
• B.Tech with 8-10 years of experience, ideally in Comp. Sci. / IT / Electronics /
Communication (Techno-functional mindset is mandatory; MBA is optional)
• Good understanding of HR Information Systems, their implementation and support
• Technical expertise in managing integrations between systems
• Sound knowledge of 2 or more modules/systems called out in the Job Responsibilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills including documentation
• Problem-solving/Trouble-shooting: Active identification, participation and resolution
• Disciplined execution and tracking of tasks
• Good knowledge of MS Office / Google Suite
