Manager - Indirect Taxation (FMCG)
- Review of Business Agreements, checking classification of Goods and Service and checking sample invoices for accuracy. Suggesting changes in Business agreements for compliances with GST law and mitigating risk and dispute with Vendors and customers.
- Attending Seminars & Webinars on changes in GST, Export & Import, FTP etc. Updating Tax Team and Business team for changes. Keeping record of changes.
- Replies to Notices, assessment queries, letters from Tax Department; Attending personal hearings, effective personal representation to the satisfaction of the Tax department; Keeping Proper Records of all Proceedings of Companies
- Reply to Indirect Taxation queries from Business Team, Consumer Team, Energy Team and Motors Team. Updating all Concerned person for changes in GST having impact on Business.
- Keep checking in regard to timely amendment in GST Registration.
- Checking Eligibility of ITC based on documents & details available; Monthly review of GST returns of and Investment companies. Review of GST compliances, Checking GST payment, GST entries, Review of GST reconciliations
- Review of Consumer Tax Compliance and provide support to Consumer in Drafting reply to notices, vetting reply prepared before submitting to department, discussing the the reply with Legal Counsel
- Review and Discussion of GST Reconciliation with Consultants and Motors team. Provide support to Motors team in Drafting reply to notices, vetting reply prepared before submitting to department, discussing the the reply with Legal Counsel.
Reviewing Tax Positions for different Transactions
Qualification And Experience:
1. CA or CWA having 3-5 years of post-qualification relevant tax experience preferably at a multinational manufacturing organization operating in India.
2. Should have excellent understanding of indirect Tax and allied laws and should well versed with current developments and changes.
3. Hands on Experience in Indirect Tax Compliances, Transaction Advisory, Transaction management.
4. Should have exposure to cross border transactions.
5. Well versed with substantive and procedural law of registration tax returns, tax payments, Tax Assessments, Annual and monthly reconciliations, Audit, Department Audit, filing of appeals, and drafting of submissions with tax authorities.
6. Shall be required to interact with top law firms on litigation matters.
7. Requisite Organisation and Management Skills.
8. Excellent Interpersonal Skills.
