Company Profile: Our Clients Company is an agricultural export company based in Kenya. It specializes in exporting various agricultural commodities, particularly pulses like pigeon peas and kidney beans. Their key export destinations include India, and they engage in international trade under specific HSN codes for leguminous vegetables.Position: Manager - Import & Export OperationsLocation: AhmedabadJob Profile:

• Ensure compliance with international trade laws, import/export regulations, and specific agricultural standards.
• Oversee the quality of agricultural products, ensuring that they meet international standards and customer specifications.
• Arrange for necessary inspections, certifications, and testing to comply with destination country standards.
• Coordinate the movement of perishable goods, ensuring timely delivery to maintain freshness and quality.
• Select appropriate modes of transport based on the perishability, shelf life, and cost considerations.
• Manage cold chain logistics and storage for temperature-sensitive products.
• Ensure proper documentation for agricultural goods, including phytosanitary certificates, export/import licenses, certificates of origin, and packing lists.
• Liaise with international suppliers, farmers, cooperatives, and buyers to manage orders, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure consistent product quality and timely deliveries.
• Assess and mitigate risks related to agricultural trade, including shipment delays, spoilage, and fluctuating trade tariffs.
• Prepare and manage budgets for import/export operations, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery and cost-per-shipment.
• Manage inventory levels in alignment with seasonal fluctuations in agricultural production and market demand.
• Research potential new markets for agricultural products and identify opportunities for expansion or diversification.

Desired Candidate:

• Any Graduate with minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in agricultural import/export operations or logistics, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
