: Designation Manager- GSC- Information Technology

Position reports to Head Infrastructure.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilitiesPurpose of the Job:

• Ensure Network availability, and 24/7 support of production system services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, and performance Data Centre IT Infra., Active devices like Network Switches, Routers, Firewall, Access Points, WLC, VOIP communication manager; Passive network cabling work, redundancy and high availability and related systems for office location including GSC.
• Operation & Maintenance of entire network which includes wired & wireless network. The same shall be maintained as per DP World IT standards.
• Operation & Maintenance of WAN links for all office locations.
• Capacity planning for Entire network considering future requirements.
• Operation & Maintenance of Security related equipment like firewall, Spam Detector, Proxy Server, etc.
• Maintained all equipment used for access control & time attendance System.
• Manage Internet Access, load balancer for all office locations along with GSC office.
• Liaise with IT management Team for smooth functioning of all networks & applications at GSC.
• Suggest & implement the Improvement in the existing system in order to achieve company objectives.
• Liaise with GSC various stakeholders and supplier companies as required for smooth function of GSC. Raise the PR and follow up with Procurement for GSC related purchase along with timely payment to supplier.
• Maintain current knowledge on all technical issues related to Firewall, Routers and Switches and show keen interest in developing & implementing best practices in Industry.
• Introducing new technologies and up gradation of old NW/Security platform
• Enhancing the performance of existing NW Backbone and all active devices, creating fault tolerant, redundancy and robust system
• NW Equipment\'s health checkups and security assessment maintenance and refreshing.
• Close monitoring and alerting in case of issue. Security assessment; Maintenance and Refreshing and also resource utilization management.
• Logs monitoring getting to collect all logs at common server; regularly updating firmware and updates available, reviewing security vulnerabilities.
• Periodically configuration Backup of each network devices and appliance.
• Disaster Recovery Plan for each network device and appliance for office location. Planning and execution of DR Drill Activity,
• Monitor and status of all office locations with Cisco DNAC, Cisco ISE, Nagios and any other tools plan in future. Setup alerts for all monitoring tools to get proactive alerts for all locations. Maintain and Manage the Alerts for all locations with help of FMS team at the locations.
• Monitor and ensure the proper documentation of the manuals, SOP, project documents, change requests etc. and approve the final versions.
• Management and maintenance of back-ups of Configuration of devices & ensure recovery procedure all network and security device.
• Installation and maintenance of each network devices and appliance.
• Ensuring internal, external Audits compliance and their closures are done on time and with taking care that the same will not recur in future.
• Involved in purchase and implementation of Network and Security related hardware and Software.
• Ensure compliance of IT Hardening standard and all other DP World Policies.
• Ensure internal customer satisfaction for the service provided.
• All other duties assigned by the Head of Infrastructure from time to time.

Key Accountabilities (duties and responsibilities):

• Provide timely support to the data center operations & all corporate NW systems.
• Security Compliance shall be done through periodic review and Audit.
• Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current NW devices and appliances including firewall and routers; also, VOIP communication and ISP Link
• Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access, and high availability
• Maintenance of all Active and Passive Equipment of Network & Security to ensure the uptime as per DP World Standard.
• Maintain the configurations, Regular Monitoring of Network & Security appliances.
• Documentation, Incident Management & Inventory Control.

KPI\'s (Key Performance Indicators) of the job:

• Overall NW & Security system availability 99.99%.
• Preventive Maintenance (DC & DR Network and Security).
• Security Management & Patches/Hot fix / Upgrade.
• Support service responds to user complaints as per defined SLAs.
• OPEX saving against the budget.
• Support Project Implementation to be delivered on time & cost.

Qualifications & Other CompetenciesTechnical (discipline related:

• Administration and Managing Data Centre Operations and NW Systems (active & passive, Communication Link (PRI, ILL & MPLS).
• Trouble shooting of NW Infrastructure (Active & Passive).
• Supporting of Communication & NW Systems (Internet, Email & Voice).
• Supporting IT Security, Content Management, Threat & Virus Prevention
• Trouble shooting of day- to-day issue in Network & Security appliances.
• Supporting, design IT infra. or enhancement to Network & Security.
• Ensure Data Security, Configuration Backup and Business Continuity.
