If you are ready for a new challenge and want to make a difference, read on and apply today for a life-changing career.About the departmentIn Corporate Procurement at Novo Nordisk, we manage the global indirect spend related to categories such as Marketing Services, Professional Services, Travel, IT, R&D. The Sourcing Team in Bangalore has been newly created to support the growth in our sourcing pipeline and is responsible for supporting the Category Managers in the execution of sourcing projects across indirect categories.The PositionAs a Manager - Global Sourcing at Novo Nordisk, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage a team of 5-10 experienced Global Sourcing Analysts, executing sourcing activities across indirect categories (i.e., professional services, marketing). Manage team workload with category teams and ensure skill and competency development of the team across all the category management disciplines.
  • Continuously align the team with business and stakeholders\' priorities through goal setting, performance tracking, and people development. Design, implement, and continuously improve the right operating model to deliver strategic sourcing benefits for the assigned spend categories while catering to stakeholder needs in collaboration with Category Management teams in Corporate Procurement in Denmark.
  • Lead the team to have a quality and innovative mindset. Ensure and drive compliant procurement processes and training.
  • Ensure a strong work ethic and healthy work culture in the team. Ensure high stakeholder satisfaction through streamlined processes, high-quality deliverables, and strong communication.
  • Drive strategy and priorities within the team and across Source to Contract (S2C) function, ensuring operational excellence and best practice setup.
Qualifications
  • Master\'s degree or MBA from a reputed university in Engineering, Business administration, Supply chain or Economics. Global Professional certifications in Supply Management/Procurement from CIPS/ISM would be an added advantage.
  • 10+ years of experience in sourcing, category management, supplier management, and contracting for indirect spend, working with international stakeholders, with at least 5 years of people management experience.
  • Extensive experience developing sourcing skills and competencies across E2E disciplines (project management, negotiation/advanced negotiation, e-sourcing, contracting including legal understanding, stakeholder management, training in core sourcing tools and templates) and categories.
  • Extensive international exposure, intercultural competences, and international stakeholders\' capabilities preferably from a Nordic work culture and/or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience working with eProcurement tools preferably Coupa.
  • Curiosity and ability to understand how your area\'s work is connected to other parts of the value chain to continuously improve processes and collaboration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and motivation to develop team members.
  • Proactivity and solution-oriented mindset to support stakeholders and the team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Comfortable driving multiple projects in parallel.
