People Security, ICS
  • The People Security (PS) team is responsible for fostering a culture of cyber awareness and resilience to protect the Bank and our clients from cyber threats. It does this through creating campaigns to drive behaviour change amongst a range of populations including employees, executives, high risk roles, third parties and customers.
  • It drives the design, development, deployment, and enablement of delivery via virtual, instructor-led, and digital campaigns, enabled by global awareness communities of practice, based on employees\xe2\x80\x99 roles and risk types. The team\xe2\x80\x99s remit spans general employee awareness, role-based training, executive engagement, phishing awareness and simulation exercises, field enablement, communications, assessing and remediating behaviour change, and risk reporting, operations and strategy, as well as Skills Academies.
Main Purpose of Role:
  • We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a seasoned communication expert to support the Training & Awareness (T&A) team in delivering awareness campaigns to a range of external audiences, including customers, clients and third parties. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a creative environment and understands the intricacies of human behaviour, and is able to influence and inspire audiences to take action.
  • The Manager, External Security Awareness will be responsible for creating and managing the day-to-day delivery of engaging awareness campaigns and initiatives on a broad range of Information & Cyber Security (ICS) topics. They will work closely with key stakeholders across the wider People Security team, customer-facing business areas, and with risk and governance stakeholders across 1st, 2nd and 3rd Lines of Defence.
  • In addition to creating and delivering new material, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing awareness content (including content hosted on the sc.com Cyber Security Tips pages), and repurposing much of the great work delivered by the internal T&A team to benefit and delight our external audiences.
  • This role will appeal to someone who has proven expertise in creating engaging, gamified and innovative content for external audiences. The successful candidate must be able to convey technical information in a non-technical, yet memorable way.
Business
  • Identify new awareness initiatives that can be delivered to help educate our external audiences on how to protect themselves against a broad range of ICS-related threats.
  • Write compelling stories and design learning pathways to bring ICS threats to life in an engaging and meaningful way, guided by adult learning principles and frameworks
  • Work closely with key stakeholders across ICS as well as with business and governance teams to formulate campaign messages and develop creative assets.
  • Contribute towards the development of External Awareness Programme strategic plans.
  • Provide clear briefs to internal designers and 3rd party agencies to develop impactful campaigns, using your expertise to provide creative direction along the way to ensure they land effectively.
  • Work with intelligence and risk stakeholders to proactively develop communications that provide practical guidance on defencing against emerging external cyber threats.
  • Capture and report on qualitative and quantitative post-campaign effectiveness, including generation of key insights that enable the entire T&A team to continuously improve.
Processes
  • Deliver in line with agreed end-to-end processes, established as part of the People Security Process Universe
  • Develop new processes in compliance with agreed templates as programmes mature and new initiatives are developed
  • Conduct an annual review and refresh of existing processes to ensure they remain up to date and adhered to
People & Talent
  • Partner with CISOs across the globe to create external awareness content in line with bespoke country and business requirements
  • Provide clear briefs to internal designers and 3rd party agencies to develop impactful awareness material, using your expertise to provide creative direction along the way to ensure content lands effectively
  • Collaborate with Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing (CABM) teams to ensure successful delivery of training initiatives, sharing best practice across the Bank along the way and profiling the PS team at the forefront of learning design
Risk Management
  • Capture and report on qualitative and quantitative delivery effectiveness, including generation of key insights that enable the team to continuously mature
  • Deliver campaigns in line with all applicable regulatory, audit and control requirements, alongside the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s existing governance frameworks, without compromising on business / audience requirements or creative quality
  • Fulfil relevant regulatory requests for information within the stipulated time
Governance
  • Track and manage the deployment and delivery of awareness initiatives, identifying blockers and impediments to enable early intervention and to meet targets on time and within budget.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Lead the ICS T&A General, Targeted and Executive Engagement Programmes to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Conduct Principles. Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant working experience in managing end-to-end creative campaign delivery including developing and delivering awareness or behaviour change programmes.
  • Experience in leading the development of internal and/or external communications, marketing, cross-cultural communications, training/development. Multinational corporation experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of information technology and/or cyber security is preferred.
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment, where good operational governance is essential.
  • Impeccable communications skills with the ability to translate specialist language into simple-to-understand message for non-technical audiences
