Job Description

Join our Commodities and Global Markets Technology team as a full stack Java Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work closely with the business and the engineering team in the design, coding, testing, and implementation of critical projects to support our business.

In this role, you will be a valued member of a DevOps, Agile delivery team with a focus on building amazing enterprise systems in the public cloud with a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization. You will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to our thriving ecosystem using modern approaches and technologies in web/mobile and micro frontends, event-driven microservices, system integration, AI/machine learning, event streaming, stream processing, real time analytics, Kubernetes, AWS, and cloud native services.

You will have a strong analytical and problem solving mindset with a willingness to learn and explore new technology and ways of working. You will be a creative thinker and have a passion for innovation; and have the ability to multitask flexibly between roles within the DevOps team. You will work with clients and other internal stakeholders with the ability to operate both independently and proactively.

To thrive and be successful in this role you will have a degree qualification or equivalent in a relevant computer science discipline with 4 to 9 years extensive application design and development experience and have the following skills:

Strong technical knowledge in building web applications using Java and Kubernetes

Desirable experience in cloud native technologies and Kafka

Knowledge in UI frameworks like Angular.
