For many people in the food industry, a busy kitchen and a military unit operate similarly\xe2\x80\x94both require rigour, discipline and precision for success. So if you\xe2\x80\x99re looking to grow your strength in the F&B area, this role may be perfect for you!

This position aligns with the Experience Services Platform, which is responsible for food service programs at a defined Client real estate portfolio. The Experience Services Food Services Manager is responsible for all aspects of food services program including cafes, micro markets, conference centres, catering, office coffee & beverage service as well as vending. This role is responsible for ensuring program is delivered effectively and not only meets the client\xe2\x80\x99s desired outcomes but exceeds their expectations. This role will be expected to provide superior client service while enhancing their individual personal and professional skills. The role is Client facing and must be able to exhibit exceptional customer service and communication skills

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Food Service operations and activities including Third Party Service contractors
  • Single point of contact for all food service-related items
  • Establish and maintain a sound Food Services management program ensuring appropriate staffing in accordance with Client operating days.
  • Planning, designing, and implementing a comprehensive food-based nutrition and wellness program including awareness events, classes and demonstrations and communications
  • Monitoring and management of spend and financials related to Food Services programs
  • Anticipation and response to Client\xe2\x80\x99s needs and concerns, including ensuring no safety or security incidents occur
  • Serve as the point of contact for client escalations on inquiries and issues related to the services
  • Ensure procedures & audits are designed to identify and escalate risks & issues
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks and issues (audit findings, client complaints, material vendor service issues, info security issues, any impact to the KPI\xe2\x80\x99s)
  • Pro-actively develop and manage Client relationships ensuring that expected service levels are achieved
  • Comply with all requirements of the Client contract and meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators
  • Projects and practices consistent ownership attributes, which provide a high level of customer service at all points of contact
  • Ensure the delivery of all operational requirements as per the client scope of works across site
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and performance measures to ensure simplification and accuracy of work methods, reliability of systems and consistency
  • Ensure operations are aligned to financial processes and controls are always adhered to achieve good financial management
  • Ensure compliance with JLL and client Health, Safety, Environment and Risk Management policies and procedures
  • Monitors and manages 3rd party vendor performance related to Food Service program delivery
  • Ability to scale a food service operation both globally, regionally and locally
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • look into complaints about food quality and service, and see to it that such issues are resolved

  • Keeping tab of supply and equipment inventories and maintaining records on cafeteria operations also come with the role.
  • Managing Tuck Shops end to end from inspection of varieties, expiry dates, appropriate quantity stacking, regular intervals replacement of items as per the market trends
  • Management of events is the key element of F & B. Managing indoor & outdoor events time to time.
  • You\xe2\x80\x99ll coordinate, as well, all equipment maintenance and repairs, waste removal and pest control activities. Carrying out hygiene audits both internally and through a third-party agency.
  • Ensuring proper documentation and keeping records (sanitation, food subsidy records, etc.) up to date and consistent with government standards

In-depth understanding of the role\xe2\x80\x99s ins and outs

You\xe2\x80\x99ll need significant and relevant experience in handling base kitchens. Your impeccable skills in evaluating existing processes and tweaking them when necessary will prove useful. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also have solid background in formulating policies and developing new strategies and procedures.

Excellent vendor management skills and good working knowledge of important catering elements\xe2\x80\x94including supplies, equipment, services ordering and inventory control\xe2\x80\x94are also helpful.

Strong leadership and organizational skills

Mastery in the field

You should have earned an experience of more than 6 years in Facility Management \xe2\x80\x93 F & B Services (Corporate Catering) . We\xe2\x80\x99ll also expect you to work as a part of a diverse team in both leadership and individual contributor expertise.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree, or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree, preferred, or equivalent combination of education
  • and experience.
  • Minimum of five to ten years progressive experience in food service/hospitality management experience
  • Ability to work with clients at all levels of an organization
  • Strong vendor management experience
  • Strong background in a leadership role with exposure to contract management, customer service, people development, food services, ger etc.
  • Exhibits strong communication, presentation and listening skills.
  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
  • Must have strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
