Business Contribution:Leads and manages the global Finance Shared Service Center (+40 FTE). Provides accurate, timely and efficient finance processes to the global organization in a (SOX) compliant environment. Provides accurate and timely financial reports. Helps identify and drives areas of opportunity to improve process and team performance through standardization, simplification, and automation of activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Shared Service India responsibilities:
- Manages global financial shared service center (+40 FTE)out of our Bengaluru office. Activities include Record to Report, Credit to Cash and Procure to Pay and dotted responsibility for FP&A and other finance relatedactivities
- Develop, maintain and ensure performance of the Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC). Be a leader in driving the expansion of responsibilities for the FSSC by taking a leading role in integrating other entities and/or activities
- Identify and drive Standardization, Simplification and Automation projects to drive standardization and increase efficiency and accuracy
- Adequate knowledge of US GAAP, Europe and country specific GAAP and statutory filings experience (Europe). Statutory filing experience for other countries is a plus.
- Handles and leads completion of ad-hoc questions/projects/analyses on team behalf.
- Drives team performance to meet the annual established goals
- Administer and support India Shared service team\'s hiring, compensation, performance management, training, and other employee development initiatives.
- Willing to be in the office for 5 days per week atleast for the initial 9-12 months.
- Flexible working in different hours to accommodate different time zones when needed.
- Member of the Management Team for our India office
- Provides input and support for annual budget and periodic forecasts
- Oversee all payroll functions to ensure that employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner
- Develop, implement, and ensure statutory compliances, Internal Accounting policies/Procedures, Internal and External audits&compliances.
- Build and drive team engagement
(Team) Activities include but are not limited to:
- Ensures timely and accurate monthly closing of the books for multiple entities
- Ensures timely and correct processing and payment of invoices for multiple entities
- Ensures timely and accurate accounting for cash received and ensures timely collection of outstanding customer balances for multiple entities
- Support external and internal audits, including providing deliverables for audit request including the preparation of statutory financial statement
- Ensures compliance with our (SOX) control environment and any applicable regulatory bodies
- Provides (business) support to our India Business Team
- Provide support in several (global) finance projects and initiatives
- Maintain and ensure Indian Company Law and Secretarial procedures and compliances.
- Ensure and supportmonthly business reviews. Work with the business leaders as a business partner on business strategies and developments.
Qualifications:
- ~15+years of experience working in US MNC and people management experience.
- Qualified CA.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX. IFRS and other GAAP is a plus
- Able to Manage and lead through a complex and changing environment
- Proven track record of building effective teams and to developtalent
- Experience and comfortable working with multicultural/ multi geographical teams and stakeholders.
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Onestream, Hyperion and Oracle ERP are highly desirable.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to interface with all levels of a diverse and global organization.
- Self-directed with a focus on process/continuous improvement. Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ensure all HSEQ rules and regulations are communicated and enforced throughout the organization. Proactively participate to safety awareness and improvement
- Always represent the Company in a professional manner, both internally and externally. Follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures
- Should be willing to travel to our Corporate office or other countries based on the requirements.
- Should have experience in Record to Report, cash to Credit to Cash and Procure to Pay
This role reports to the International Controller with significant interaction with the Corporate Controller.
