We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Finance Operations Principal Responsibilities
- Preparation/Review of monthly, quarterly and annual B/S, P/L Schedules and consolidated final accounts as per IFRS
- Analytical skills to perform variance analysis and other investigation
- Produce and analyze ad hoc management information requests
- Preparation and review of various pre and post close journals
- Strong technical knowledge of Accounting and reporting principles.
- Functional experience in accounting for all balance sheet / income statement heads
- Collaborate extensively with the external auditors during preliminary and yearend audit processes
- Ability to meet KPI timelines including under stringent time lines and high pressure situations, at the same time maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Good communication skills to be able to manage the In-country team on a daily basis.
- Identify opportunities for process re-engineering / improvement and participate in change initiatives
Requirements
Qualifications - External
- Candidate should be a Chartered Accountant/Post graduate or MBA with post qualification experience of 5+ years in Finance and Accounting, or
- B. Com /M Com/CA(inter)/CWA(inter): 8+ years of work experience
- Prior experience in Financial Reporting and strong knowledge IFRS
- Good working knowledge of month end closure preferably in the Banking Sector
- Good communication skills for ensuring smooth day to day interaction with In-Country teams
- Very strong Excel skills to interpret high data volume and facilitate automation
- Good knowledge of HUB/REMIND/COGNOS/TREATS and other HSBC systems
- Hands on experience with HUB, REMIND/COGNOS and other HSBC tools
- Familiarity and experience with automation tools like Xceptor, Python, Qlikview etc
