Summary:The Finance Manager GBS is responsible for driving financial accounting, financial planning, and analysis (FP&A), core tax compliance, treasury processes and process improvement in support of operating companies internationally, especially the United States as well as other countries. Finance Manager GBS will work closely with local management and the business to drive the necessary structure and team to actively support ongoing business needs and drive effective results in alignment with the Company strategy and culture.As the head of the Finance function within our Global Business Services in Gurugram office, the Finance Manager GBS will have extensive experience in finance leadership roles, with a deep understanding of shared services operations. This position requires strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the finance teams within the Global Business Service, providing guidance and direction to achieve departmental goals and objectives. The role shall manage a team of 10+ finance professionals with approximately 4-6 immediate subordinates. It is growing role and headcount will grow at a faster pace in the next 6-18 months.
• Assess the current shared services team to strategically develop organization and workflow
• Drive leading shared service performance by developing people and processes focused on operational discipline and business partnership
• Ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with effective communication and by leading the collaborative development of service level agreements and expectations
• Partner with local management and global finance functions and other stakeholders to obtain and provide required information
• Oversee financial accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting of financial statements.
• Manage and review key outputs and deliverables to ensure high quality including bank and account reconciliations, cash forecasts, bank fee analysis, bank account administration, balance sheet reports and analysis, foreign exchange reporting, and insurance data reporting.
• Drive financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial performance evaluation.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize working capital management, cash flow, and liquidity.
• Manage tax planning and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to local regulations and optimizing tax efficiencies.
• Manage and review key tax outputs and deliverables to ensure high quality including U.S. tax compliance forms and workpapers, transfer pricing workpapers, sales and use tax forms, tax provision workpapers, and tax account reconciliations.
• Drive treasury support, including cash management, risk management, and investment strategies.
• Approve Treasury related payments across various banking portals and Treasury Management System
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the Finance function, leveraging technology and automation where possible.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in finance and shared services operations.

Essential Functions of the Role**:

• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, S4/Hana, and BCP, would be preferable)
• Previous experience with US companies and US GAAP accounting requirements
• Previous experience of tax accounting
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Tools including Excel, Outlook PowerPoint
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Work Experience Requirements

• Proven experience (10+) in finance leadership roles, preferably within a shared services environment
• 15+ years of experience in managing a multi-national client-service oriented finance function (preferably shared services/business process outsourcing) with experience in managing large projects, strategic thinking, relationship management, financial budgets, recruitment, developing and coaching employees.

Education RequirementsBachelor\'s degree in Finance/Accounting * Master\'s degree in Business is desirableSpecialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:

• Knowledge of U.S. tax compliance and provision software (OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision would be preferable)
• Knowledge of Treasury Management Systems (GTreasury preferable)
• Knowledge of process automation and visualization tools (PowerQuery, Alteryx, PowerBI preferable)
• Expertise in financial planning and analysis, with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
• Deep knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with experience in tax planning and compliance.
• Demonstrated proficiency in treasury management, cash flow forecasting, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
