Position: DevOps Manager, Digital Business


Purpose: The role involves leading and championing DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure functions involving emphasis on operating cost efficiency at scale, process improvement, remove mundane task in daily routines, with a primary focus on automating tasks, optimizing the development and release cycle, achieving end-to-end deployments efficiency and to enhance overall time-to-launch and path to production.


Education: B.E./B.Tech, BCA or Equivalent Computer Degree


Experience: 8-9+ yrs of experience leading in cloud operations, managing devops teams, implementing improvisation in overall devops functions and processes, drive automations focus to bring in efficiency, reduce overall deployment timelines, drive automations to reduce TATs in environment provisioning and scaling environments and have focused approach on cost efficiency at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage devops/infrastructure, cloud environments and internal n external teams responsible for the functions.
• Drive cost optimisations and efficiency in cloud operations.
• Design and implement robust DevOps strategies to streamline our development and deployment processes.
• Build automation to streamline export, import processes to streamline operations of operational management systems and processes.
• Oversee complete project delivery lifecycle, focusing on Infrastructure deliveries and DevOps CI/CD and automations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute production deployments, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Plan and manage production deployments, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Hand-ons Skills in scripting in Bash, Powershell, Ansible and Python for automation and orchestration tasks.
• Manage various cloud services on AWS, optimizing resource usage and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement and manage CDN solutions as an integral part of our DevOps strategy to optimize content delivery and enhance application performance.
• Have systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
• Build, automate, implement end to end implementation of tools, processes, and technologies to boost DevOps maturity viz, Jira, Jenkins etc.
• Build and implement configuration automations, deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines for production infrastructure.
• Build and implement monitoring frameworks for monitoring, alerting and troubleshooting production deployment issues.
• Present periodic data points suggesting improvement in Devops KPIs related to deployments, infrastructures, and availability.
• Need to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide mentorship and guidance on automation and support tasks.

  Technical

• 6/7+ years in devops, cloud infrastructure, managing multiple environment and experience of SDLC processes.
• Experience in python, automations, ansible, devops practices and deployment to production
• Strong understanding of High scale architectures, react applications, java applications and database solutions viz ElasticSearch, Redis, MongoDB and RDS.
• Experience to lead teams with blend of technical depth, expertise, and leadership skills to drive organisation goals.
• Ability to drive organisations goals, projects which translate into business kpis deliverables and customer focus
• Experience in devops skills across SCM, Static Code Analyzer, Build and Release, Continuous Integration tools and frameworks such as, SVN, Code Deploy, Cloud Formation, GIT, ANT, MVN, Sonar etc
• Deep understanding and practical working knowledge either of Automation tools viz: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Deployment Tools: viz: Jenkins
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud is a must and any other cloud service providers is plus
• Experience of programming automations in AWS Technologies, S3, EC2, ECS, APIs & Cloud Service Provider APIs.
• Experience with automation tools like Hashicorp Packer, Terraform and Nomad, Cloud Formation Templates
• Strong expertise in Ansible, Docker, Containerization, ECS/Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Selenium and Junit is a plus.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Cloud-specific monitoring services is plus.
• Previous experience with streaming or media platforms is a plus.
• Comfortable with large scale production systems, configurations management, load balancing & distributed systems.
• Should have good knowledge on coding and logical skills and have good knowledge on linux.
