Job Title Manager, DevelopmentJob TitleManager, EngineeringBusiness environment1) The Digital Labs Bangalore (DLB) division is part of Airlines Altea and is in charge of delivering e-Commerce services around Amadeus products.2) The mission of the Digital Labs Bangalore group is to support airline customers in the implementation and evolution of their online web sites, using the Digital API platform to integrate Amadeus solutions for shopping, payment/ticketing, reissue/refund, ancillary services and mobile. The current customer base has over 100 airlines, with the top tier being served with dedicated competency centers run in Agile with the customer.3) "Air China" & " Hainan" is the Competency Center, with the development group based in Bangalore for platform evolution4) Also, requires a Development Manager to manage the scrum team and contribute technicallyPurpose of the roleYou will be leading scrum team in Chinese Carriers CC team in Bangalore delivering some of the complex features in airlines ecommerce domain. You will be responsible for high quality deliverables in an Agile setup (SCRUM and SAFe), assist them through their direct channel evolution for UI and backend changes, evolutions on the strategic full stack, technical solutioning, technical deep dives, technical presentations, production incidents analysis and handling customer escalations.Drive DES Migration, Architectural decisions and successful implementation of the same\xe2\x80\x8bOwns non-functional requirements, tracking and delivery of UI Performance, Analytics, Security, Accessibility, Monitoring, CI/CD pipeline, Left Shift Approach etc., Technical Migrations\xe2\x80\x8bCode and Design Reviews\xe2\x80\x8bContribution to Global Initiatives like Left Shift, D3E etc \xe2\x80\x8bSPOC - COPs representation and contribution, Public Cloud Migration strategy/approach & support to all CCs, Design discussions with Train architects & other 1A Stakeholders.\xe2\x80\x8bSPOC for design discussions with Customer (for Airline.com, Akamai, DES migration, prio requests, or any internal/external components used by Airlines) and Airline Partner Teams (Akamai, Facade, Glassbox, Adobe)\xe2\x80\x8bTechnical Mentorship to team members\xe2\x80\x8bTroubleshooting and/or supporting team members in debugging complex scenarios, production incidentsLeading the scrum team for ALIT project in Hotels for Services. You will be responsible for high quality deliverables in an Agile setup (SCRUM and SAFe), involving UI and backend changes, evolutions on the strategic full stack, technical solutioning, technical deep dives, technical presentations, production incidents analysis and handling customer escalationsJob DutiesTeam Management & Engagement- Manage a scrum team in the delivery of all committed projects on-time, on-scope, adhering to Amadeus corporate standards, methodologies and quality- Define team objectives and translate them into individual objectives for each team member in line with organizational goals- Evaluates team and individual performance, provide input for Salary Review- Develop team(s) based on continuous assessment- Motivate and guide individual team members to stretch and expand their own capabilities (knowledge, way of working, communication etc.\xe2\x80\xa6)- Define and share the technical/functional team roadmap and vision according to the department/division/company objectives- Report on team activitiesTechnical Excellence- Identify unclear requests and possible impacts and ensure the requests are clarified by/with the relevant party before providing design, and sizing- Develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges- Technical solutioning for Change requests or user stories- NFRs (Performance, Security etc.) Analysis and providing recommendations and design solutions.- Build accurate sizing for development, testing, deployment, documentation, interaction with 3rd parties and long term support- Support risk analysis for projects and take action for mitigating and managing risks- Highly contribute to define and build the component strategy and be responsible for its deployment, releasing, evolution & maintenance- Interface with Architects and Experts on long-term component vision and code integrity & architecture- Communicate, share, explain and ensure buy-in on component strategy & evolution- Ensure quality responsibilities & mind-set is shared by each stakeholder of the development cycle to contribute to service stability effortProblem Solving:- Proactively monitor and identify reoccurring problems and propose persistent long term solutions- Perform an in depth analysis to identify unclear requests and possible impacts and ensure the requests are clarified by/with the relevant party before providing design, and sizing in coordination with the team- Suggest alternatives / improvements / new techniques in processes, flows, operational models and plans- Support internal/external customers when required (Customer facing meetings, demo preparations, etc.)- Moderate budgetary impact on businessInnovation:- Build/manage a team fostering a collaborative work environment which promotes innovation and empowerment- Value ideas from team members and evaluate every opportunity to grow the possible ideas- Promote continuous improvements on product & development stability, availability and reliability- Regular innovation brainstorming sessions with the team and intra-team"Internal Policies and Procedures (10%):- Ensure internal processes and procedures are executed properly- Demonstrate strong sense of responsibility for company assets, be proactive against security vulnerabilities and - breaches- Support Management by preparing materials and reports related to the functional areaPeople LeadershipCoach/mentor technical members in the team\xe2\x80\x8bResponsible to Co-ordinate with DGA Senior Architects for DLB/DGS level adoption of tech initiatives / solutions, and to present and integrate in technical forums like architect circle, APAC Train Virtual System team etc.\xe2\x80\x8bCollaborate with all different scrum teams in APAC Airlines\xe2\x80\x8bCollaborate with APAC Train (BLR) and Purple Train (NCE) architects\xe2\x80\x8bCollaborate with DGA Security as APAC Train stakeholder\xe2\x80\x8bCollaborate with APAC Train System TeamThought LeadershipSpread cross-department, cross-project best practices on Design Principles\xe2\x80\x8bParticipation and contribution in communities globally in Amadeus community \xe2\x80\x8bContribution to Global Initiatives like Left Shift, D3E etc \xe2\x80\x8bTechnical expertise on Cloud Migration, DES, Accessibility, Security, Cloud Native and technical complexities of Airlines.com \xe2\x80\x8bUnderstand and interpret the requirements to break it into simple architectural components to manage the complexity. In the process, will require to propose options with new technologies and conduct PoC. \xe2\x80\x8bShould be able to initiate new tech adoption processes, POCs whenever required for any new or complex architectural changeQualifications/ExperienceEducation:Minimum requirement: BS/BA degree, computer science or related field preferredRelevant work experience:- Minimum 10 years experience in software engineering and/or project coordination in customer-facing environment.- Proven experience in customer-facing role being collocated with the customer.- Experience working on Devops, Microsoft Azure cloud and CI/CD- Knowledge of the digital platform and functionalities powered by Amadeus for Qantas E-Commerce channel is a strong plus.- Knowledge of Amadeus Altea suite (e.g. Shopping, Payment/Ticketing, Merchandizing, Digital Experience API) is a plus.- Experience in the integration of large-scale systems with digital components recommended.- Experience on web site development/maintenance- Experience on handling NFRs - Application Performance, Application Security, JUnit Frameworks etc.- Preferrable Tech. Stack - JSP, JavaScipt, jQuery, Java, J2EE, Spring.
