Manager (Design) - VLSI and Embedded Systems

Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field


Experience: 8 to 12 years in analog, digital, and mixed electronics design and development


Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced professional to lead a VLSI and Embedded Systems team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in analog, digital, and mixed electronics, with proficiency in FPGA-based designs, VHDL, and C programming. A background in designing electronic systems for airborne applications is essential. As a graduate engineer, you will lead a dynamic team, drive innovation, and ensure the successful execution of projects.


Key Responsibilities


• Leadership and Management:
+ Lead and manage the VLSI and Embedded Systems team, providing technical guidance and support.
+ Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
+ Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Technical Expertise:
+ Design and develop advanced electronic systems utilizing expertise in analog, digital, and mixed electronics.
+ Apply VHDL and C programming for designing, simulating, and verifying complex systems.
+ Ensure designs meet the stringent requirements of airborne applications.
+ Guide the PCB CAD team in component placement and routing, and the MECH CAD team in housing/enclosure design.
+ Experience in power electronics and engine control is desirable.
• Project Management:
+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project integration.
+ Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
+ Conduct regular project reviews and provide updates to senior management.
+ Proficiency in Design Analysis (SI, PI, Power Budget, Thermal, Structural, Derating, Reliability, FMEA, FMECA).
+ Prepare documents for CEMILAC airworthiness, including design documents, analysis reports, ATP, QTP, and V&V documents as per DO-254 and DO-178.
• Quality and Compliance:
+ Ensure all designs and developments comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements for airborne applications.
+ Knowledge of DO-254, DO-178, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, JSS55555 standards.
+ Experience in qualifying products for airworthiness as per CEMILAC requirements.
+ Implement best practices in design, testing, and validation to achieve high reliability and performance.
• Continuous Improvement:
+ Stay updated on advancements in VLSI and embedded systems technology.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
+ Mentor and develop team members, fostering their professional growth.
