While mining, interpreting, and cleaning our data, this person will be relied on to ask questions, connect the dots, and uncover hidden opportunities for realizing the dataxe2x80x99s full potential. As part of a team of specialists, the data scientist will xe2x80x9cslice and dicexe2x80x9d data using various methods and create new visions for the future. Objectives of this role xe2x80xa2 Collaborate with product design and engineering teams to develop an understanding of needs xe2x80xa2 Research and devise innovative statistical models for data analysis xe2x80xa2 Communicate findings to all stakeholders xe2x80xa2 Enable smarter business processes by using analytics for meaningful insights xe2x80xa2 Keep current with technical and industry developments Responsibilities xe2x80xa2 Lead a team of data scientists to develop strategies for our products that serve global clientele. xe2x80xa2 Drive analytics projects end-to-end in partnership with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy. xe2x80xa2 Influence product direction through clear and compelling presentations to leadership. xe2x80xa2 Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches. xe2x80xa2 Contribute towards advancing the Data Science discipline at Kavi, including but not limited to driving data best practices. xe2x80xa2 improving analytical processes, scaling knowledge and tools, and mentoring other data scientists. xe2x80xa2 Execute analytical experiments to help solve problems across various domains and industries. xe2x80xa2 Identify relevant data sources and sets to mine for client business needs and collect large structured and unstructured datasets and variables. xe2x80xa2 Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big-data stores; perform data and error analysis to improve models; clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy. Required skills and qualifications. xe2x80xa2 12 or more years of experience in data science with higher pedigree xe2x80xa2 Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis xe2x80xa2 Advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modelling xe2x80xa2 Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, SQL, and programming languages (ex: Java/Python, SAS) xe2x80xa2 Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, research-oriented group that has several concurrent projects xe2x80xa2 Preferred skills and qualifications xe2x80xa2 Masters degree (or equivalent) in statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline xe2x80xa2 8 or more years of project management experience
